1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I wish i could be this consistent at Paul Ricard!

Won the race by like 16 seconds. Started in 2nd. Led from the first corner.

I do enjoy Brands a lot though!

Ok lads I need your help.. I'm at a crossroad. My birthday coming up in 2 weeks and I will upgrade from Logitech. I can't buy the all thing in one go but will start with the base and will get steering wheel and pedals at Christmas. Both plans are good but crucial to make the right choice for the future. My ideas were pretty clear a month ago as the Fanatec CSL elite wheelbase wasn't available anymore I said let's go for the Thrusmaster TS-XW. High hand belt driven base, comparable to the CSL apparently and same price. Problem... as I believe you already know Fanatec announced a CSL Direct drive for the same price.. that's where I need you. I have to admit I would prefer to be in the Fanatec ecosystem but I am afraid to do a mistake. An other thing is that I have to spend that money right after that birthday. Don't know about you but can't keep a penny in this house... and the Fanatec will only be open for pre-order in a couple of months.

So my good problem is, will I go, at the same price, with a secure buy with the Thrusmaster (saw a good few videos and seems to be a major update from Logitech) or will I get steering wheel and pedals from Fanatec now and wait to get DD wheel base at Christmas.

    Help :D

Thanks for uploading the pictures with the setup for me, @Pretend racer ! :D

Been busy with work these past few days and to top it off I am suffering with a stiff neck, so no chance to race in VR. I see you managed to put in some brilliant times with both Porsches, I'll try to rise up to the challenge during the weekend ;)

I’m a Thrustmaster man presently, but if I had the chance to go DD then I would (I would then probably have to invest in a rig of some sorts rather than the sofa in the second lounge). Just remember, unlike Thrustmaster, you need to make sure you add all the Fanatec bits needed to get a true reflection of total price.

I know what you mean but looking at the loadcell pedals from both it's about the same price. Found a Porsche steering wheel for 150e so actually cheaper than the Trusmaster Ferrari one. My only problem is we don't know what that DD gonna be like and the hype is so big that I don't know if I gonna have my hand one one of them one day... at the moment I still go towards Fanatec DD..

Even if you prefer the TM route, I’d wait as when the DD is released, the 2nd hand market will be awash with people getting rid of their TM’s and CSL’s as they’ve made the switch

All Fanatec products are generally very good, the Customer Service can be a bit irritating if you have a problem but quality is not normally an issue for them. Peoples expectations of what a £350 DD will perform like on the other hand may be way off when this is released. If people expect DD1 or Simcube like performance they are likely to be disappointed.

I was actually going for the Csl originally but since they don't do it anymore my only hope is that it's as good or even a bit better and I'll be delighted.

Im waiting on Barry from the sim racing garage to get his to review. Fanatec did a poll on their site and let the public choose the top 3 youtubers to review a new CSL DD.

I always use him as my reference for a products quality.

Had to have a go as it’s an excuse to get the ‘H’ shifter out - which is always fun with these old cars.

I was changing down through the first corner, attempting a poor heal and toe, to 3rd which is not easy having to take a hand off the wheel whist sawing away just trying to keep the car on the track. Setup was also straight out the box as those listed above don’t match the console options - so just kept it stock. Good fun, but very tiring!

    Phew, this was tough.

Thanks to @Pretend racer for improving on my setup, I used his version and managed to get 0.3s faster.
