Mclaren p1 vs the ferrari

It's not that much of a difference imho, the LaFerrari pulls harder up to 200km/h, and after 300km/h, the P1's torque makes it really fast in the 200-300km/h range, considerably more with DRS enabled, be sure to have DRS enabled on the straights, it impacts the acceleration massively at high speed.

 

But you can run fairly similar laptimes in them so you should be able to catch back up in the twisty bits, the only place that the Laferrari has a big advantage is at Monza with a race over 5 laps. The P1 runs out of kers energy at that point and then it becomes much slower down the straights, its the only track I noticed this to occur and our current P1 vs Lafa league season we all had to run the ferrari here due to noticing there is no real way to get it to last a full race. The Lafa regenerates on any hard braking point and even though it stores a fair bit less energy and uses it quicker it will easily regenerate during the lap, the P1 is a little trickier. It stores more and uses less but regenerates less too which on a track like monza with not many long corners and lots of long straights it will use more per lap then you can get back. Ive tried all other official tracks and I can regen more then I lose on those other then Monza 66 which would most likely be worse then the modern one for regeneration.

Oh dear lord, it seems as though part 2 and 3 will have to wait, unless there's already a wrap on them. The "owner of the holy trinity of hypercars", as newspapers call him, has had a serious accident driving his 918 during an event on Malta last week, injuring spectators and himself quite badly. Let's hope they all recover well.

I am getting very similar times under these conditions > Heavy clouds, slow grip (95%) 15c temps
Both cars with road legal tires (27/28psi f/r), more aggressive setup (maybe I should use default) and full tank of fuel (as they did in the test)
*used tire heaters, because I am lazy to do the warm up laps.

 

Apparently the P1 was using the Trofeo tyres (not slicks like in the game, but the more aggressive tyre option you can have IRL). Only 0.5 faster with those is quite bad.

Chris Harris, Tiff Needell and the Top Gear guys have also raced the cars recently, video coming soon. I'd imagine the Stig drove one of them, along Chris and Tiff

 

Judging by the lap times, Trofeo tyres = Hypercar road

 

The game simulates the normal tyres, AFAIK.

 

Is it the same ol' stig that were with them previous or is it a new one? I can see Aris infront of me with a white suit, but that would probably most be how the car drifts.

im downloading s01 to s19 on top gear now, will be interesting to see how it have been growing and which cars they test.

if someone know a legit version to pay for everything without buying a complete box (for like 1000 euro or so) with all season i would gladly know.

doesnt it look like hp since it keep doing it after he got spin, or do drs do that? I thought it stopped if the cars started to spin to much.

 

Track must me cold. Temperatures are getting lower, and probably it rained over there too.
