Mclaren p1 vs the ferrari

Thank you. Indeed I understand that manufacturers small or big are most of the time not keen at all to share any specifics, algorithms and inner workings since that's their know how that they have to protect.

Other modes would be nice to have though.
The DRS, I can "hack" around it, but it would be nice to have it as a button pressed as it's supposed to be. Now the only way to deactivate it is to brake but there are places on tracks where one doesn't brake but wants DRS off which currently is impossible.

Not really interested in comparisons between simulated cars, don't care. I'm interested in how well the car in question is simulated compared to a real thing.

 

I found it more courious about the p1 long battery life when it was rumored that they had problems with it at the nordschleife..
but who knows.. its rumors and its only 350 cars made.

 

There is no such thing as battery depletion problem on P1 according to customers. Yes, one of them drove Nordschleife too.

 

So if we're going to save the planet from climate change we need more power slides?

Its ok, i get it. I guess the rumors where not true or they fixed it in the final version. I think they had a prototype at the Nordschleife.

Yes, the downforce figures for the P1 are too high.

What is the weight of LaFerrari in AC? There is no such info and customers claim that car weights more on scales than Ferrari claimed weight.

It's not a lie, climate changes all the time. Maybe it's been overstated but the fact is the climate has swung from ice ages to temperate weather in recorded history and we have records of it happening. There are mini ice ages on record in the UK that lasted a few hundred years during the middle ages. Most likely caused by high volcanic activity.

 

At the end of the day, everyone likes ice cream, so no matter.

 

It'll be interesting to see if the p1 holds as much of an edge over the laf after Aris fixes the aero!

 

P1, on 3rd or higher gear, the IPAS kicks in at such a force even when not needed, that the rev limiter is not enough and engine gets destroyed from the maximum revs. I'm quite skeptical that the IPAS would even engage in such a situation since the extra torque is not needed. Also, clutch pedal still working with P1? I'm not sure P1 even has a clutch pedal...

 

That's a flaw with AC, you can clutch in for cars which has no clutch.

 

Imo this is the thing I 'hate' the most in AC atm.
You need to use the clutch in cars who don't have it irl (mclaren p1, 458, mp4-12c, ...)

 

You don't need to, but it is there.
Also automatic transmission mode is missing
And IPAS doesn't work in pits.

 

its a very fair request & ive wondered why it isnt implemented. its a staple of the gmotor engine & i believe rf2 has it as well. AC has cars that actually USE it, unlike SCE/rf2, so i dont understand why its not simulated.

 

I was talking about the lie that is perpetrated in the MSM that we humans are responsible for the climate change and all that stuff that is being thrown in our faces. Of course climate changes all the time, Earth is "designed" like that, but we can't influence that more than an ant hive can influence us. Now pollution, that is something different and something we are responsible for.
