1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

As far as I know the wing on the countach is completely useless. I also wouldn't be surprised if the thing about it knocking 12mph off the top speed was an assumption not really based on extensive testing. I don't really know where that factoid comes out of.

  2. i need to watch theses stream.. It's me or the patch note don't tell everything :) , nice to have some good surprise !

Since i'm in the hud thing can someone confirm the missing speed reading in the Nismo GTR, at the right of the turbo display.

I do know, where it is from, confirmed by the owner, "rear wing" section

  4. I am beating a fair number of my old lap times (@ Vallelunga Club) with the 1.3 update version, and a big chunk of that is because I am more confident with the new handling characteristics of the various cars. That doesn't apply to the GT cars or DTM cars though, which seem to be slower. The Audi Sport Quattro is (so far) the only road car that I have tested @ Vallelunga Club that is slower than the 1.2 version.

I will be conducting more tests tonight with other cars, so I will see what happens.

I agree 100%. We're good, except for some minor tweaks. But overall, I think this is it.
After 1.2, I was pleased with the feel of the cars with the new FFB, but it took my a while to realize that something was not quite right.
1.3 so nice. I have never really driven downforce cars enough to comment, but the road cars I've driven this weekend have all either improved greatly, or didn't feel wrong to begin with and are basically the same.
And, my beloved E30 GrA is finally back to it's old self.

    Welcome in the AC.
Almost every update (if not all of them) contains some fixes/addons/patches that aren't in the changelog. Of course some of them are part of the Placebo DLC.

No, software adjustable hard stops are not a common feature in wheels, having a soft lock with the FFB motor is.

For example the T300 and G27 certainly can't adjust their hard stops (nor can I find any reference on the internet aside from you that the DFGT can, but that could just be me sucking at google-fu *shrug* ), even though both can limit their max rotation, they just do it via soft lock through the FFB motors. However depending on the strength of the FFB motors (and the strength of the person driving I suppose) the "soft" lock might not actually feel soft at all. I remember the ISR guys commenting that the soft lock on an Accuforce felt like hitting a hard stop.

If the DFGT can adjust the actual physical bump stops and not just limit the rotation with the FFB motor then cool, neat feature, wish it had got more popular. But it is not a common thing in FFB wheels, very likely because it's noticeably cheaper to simulate the limit to the rotation via FFB motors instead of building more complicated hardware that could move it's bump stops.

A question: If I drive a car that have 520 degrees of rotation and put that in my logitech profiler, am i supposed to use 260 in the options ingame then, with which rotation it is to get the wheel to move 1:1? I have had this answered before but dont really remember which thread so its kinda hard to search.

  9. sacredaardvark

    Which options? :)
The virtual steering wheel rotation in general options?
Yeah 260 I believe. For some reason the rotation numbers for that are only in one direction, so 450 for full 900 degrees (450deg left and 450deg right from center), 135 for 270 etc.
I have the virtual steering wheel disabled most of the time these days, or locked if it's not disabled, so I could remember that wrong from back when I had it set up for my F430.

If you're talking about the steering angle in the controller options, you should have that set to whatever you have set in the drivers, afaik.

That was exactly what I meant. Since we both think its that way im pretty positive we got it right. Thanks for the answer!

New downshifting protection to engine/gear-box seems overprotective to me with a view to GT cars (GT2/GT3)

    - GT cars have hard-waering gear boxes compared to street cars (even sportive cars), so there shoudn`t be an identical "general" downshifting protection to all cars
    - GT cars (and other race cars) do ofc use the engine to maintain the braking effects (now you brake and downshift, but 6. to 5. gear has no "engine/RPM support" while downshifting = takes way to long till you are aollwed to downshift. 4. to 3. to 2. is better but takes still a tiny bit too long
    - engines are furthermore protected py rev-limiter = no need to be so restrictive like it is with 1.3.1
    - peronally I am a bit in doubt, that GT3 cars in general (ADAC GT Master / Blancpain / FIA GT3 etc) do have such a downshift protection at all, which is neither to "turn off" (qualification) nor "adjustable" in some steps
    - personaly I had very rare damage to gearbox a/o engine while downshiftuíng (doing more than 1.200h AC, most in GT cars)

So from my point of view this feature needs some adjustment, either from Kunos devs by tweaking it (e.g. in the middle between 1.2.6 and 1.3.1 ) or giving us an oportunity to adjust the downshift protection.
    Thx in advance!

Funny all this "soft/Hard" lock stuff, If your turning your wheel ALL the way to the "soft/hard lock" Your Doing it.....well wrong........ I suggest you turn OFF/Lock the virtual wheel and LEARN how many degrees of Lock the car ACTUALLY REALLY wants to go around a corner.

I don't think it has to do with lower end cards, it's just the texture isn't ideal itself. It's probably using the current shadows that look awful and pixelated in close-up. About the sounds, I agree too. Did anyone actually notice how the tyres now have different pitch according to how much grip/force they're getting? Helps a lot to get the feel of the car.

...ofc not, what I tried to point out as a suggestion was
1.2.6 = 0% time or less rev needed to be able to downshift
1.3.1 = 30% time or less rev needed to be able to downshift (as an example)
so 15% time or less rev needed to be able to downshift could be a better solution ;)

They haven't picked some arbitrary number or time to limit the gear changes by; when "asking" to change down then if changing down would mean the revs would be above the cars rev limiter then the change is refused, if below then allowed

I wish I could drive without a virtual wheel. I tried and it was pretty easy to get used to but once i took back the virtual wheel i did drive better. I dont have the posibility to have my physical wheel be where the virtual is supposed to be atm but a couple of cm up so that just make the entire cockpit feel wrong. :)

I don't think anybody needs wheel lock to know where to stop turning the wheel :) more for stopping the wheel from turning when it is self counter steering.. So it doesn't go all the 450 to the side when it only should go 210 or so.. In normal situation you wont reach full lock anyway.. And if, on track with extremely tight corners, you do, that just means that your steering is wrong and you should set it correctly in setup menu (not available in AC at this mmnt)
