1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    How much ballast were you using?

    I was surprised last week on the multi class event, that the Cobra was so unpopular.
    Maybe it would be an option for me to replace it by the Escort. Would only do that if the amount of restriction/ballast on the 911 isn't too big.
    Especially not a fan of ballast as it quite often changes the handling of the car significantly.

    I don't know, not a big fan of that. IMO the only reason for that is that you want to see different people win races.
    But when I win a race on ALOOG1, I know that something went horribly wrong.
    And being able to beat someone because he had a huge handicap wouldn't feel like a win either.

    I meant that the fairest bop would be power restricted to equal straight line speed and then add ballast to the car that's fastest in the corners until laptimes are equal. If the cars are "perfectly" equal in pace (laptime) the car that's faster on straight will have quite an advantage (imo).

    with the 911 and Escort at some tracks (with 140kg BoP) the straight line pace is fairly similar, Escort wins lower gears, 911 higher gears. With 200kg the Escort has some more straight line advantage but the 911 is still king in 5th.

    I was really surprised by success ballast, the car can still compete and it kinda feels less sterile somehow, IRL same cars arent 100% the same. I still hope we might see automated success ballast at some point.

    Top speed at Nurburgring Sprint was 207kph for the 911 and 208kph for the Escort. It can certainly provide some close racing... check the attack % :D

    Miss you buggers but a few things have happened.
    Racing IRL has had it's ups and d...Nah just ups really :) Ended up 4th this passed weekend at the 3rd race of the year. I might just cut a short video with some of the driving footage to share.

    Good news! I bought a pc last week too. Haven't downloaded any of the dlc, apps because I'm still waiting on my ISP to install my fibre line. However I should be up and running in the next few weeks or so.

    It is really hard to get down to B :D

    I haven't been racing in ALOOG for some time, but it used to be really clean server all the time. Streetfighter would benefit from A only, because it is often full anyways, and has lots of "Barely B" graders.

    When the server fills up we run into the usual problems. Racing with due caution (and in good servers) it would be very difficult to be anything other than A only so I think it is the way to go. IMO there need to be clean pub servers for MR to be justified and the cleanest option is A only. Yes it might be quieter as a result but also cleaner and you cant force people to join clean servers :p

    Cant help with those other servers im afraid... try their thread.
