1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Make sense since I get a unbearable rattling if try to use Gyro in open wheel cars while driving in a straight line.

    You don't need any or very little at the most. Maybe 1-3 if you really want try it but I don't use any in any sim with mine.

  3. Looking at your signature that could maybe come from the combo of no min force with high road effect enhancement..not sure, doesn't react that way at all on my wheel.

    I am not using LUT file anymore (that was happening with LUT on) I changed to Gamma actually. Didn't try recently Gyro on. Need to re test and report back but I remember I tried everything with no success in the past, even disabling fake effects. o_O

  5. Next time you feel like messing around with it, try adding 5% Min force, road effect 10%, gyro on like this
    [FF_EXPERIMENTAL]
    ENABLE_GYRO=1
    DAMPER_MIN_LEVEL=0.01
    DAMPER_GAIN=1

    Hey Michael, I just tested those settings and it really brought some more weight and life to my wheel. I had to bump Road effects a bit more but this is just a preference or my T500 feels different than your T300. Using your settings, I didn't have the rattle anymore. I felt like the front of the car wants to get straight in a more natural way when the rear start to slip. Thank you a lot for this tip ;)

    @Michael Hornbuckle , I also feel that is like the front wheels tend to align itself much more naturally when you start to lose the rear end. I could control the car better in many situations. It is very good indeed. Dunno if this has been said in the T500 thread but worth mentioning anyway. I think I will post this there and tag you. Thanks again.

    Gyro should have been added as standard option in the game settings menu long time ago, not buried in ini file.

    I really don't like that gyro effect! No way I can catch any slide whatsoever.
    Since it was introduced to neuter oscillations on DD wheels, it is not meant to be used with consumer wheels. I rather have it off. Feels much more natural that way with my T500.

    Well in my case worked very well. Much better than it was months ago. Specially with the values Michael provide. Not having the rattle it produced months ago anymore too and I could feel the improvement right away. A shame didn't work for you.

    I wouldn't call it a shame, since I've dialed in my ffb quite well; which isn't that hard to do in AC...
    Just don't over rev your gain.

    Great to hear it don't affect your gameplay. Go rock on the track mate.

    Yet it was correct.

    Or I guess it's possible Aris doesn't know what gyro is for, and that he shouldn't have been using it on his Logitech. :rolleyes:

    Still, it's a preference thing which is why it's an option. IIRC Stefano mentioned in one of his streams that he doesn't use it anymore though Aris does.

    I have it on, but for some cars it feels like a real hindrance and just feels plain wrong. on most cars it's very nice or not very noticeable.

    All I can say is the gyro effect feels horribly wrong with my T500. It is such a hindrance to feel and perception on my system, I can't see why anyone without a DD wheel would use it. Maybe it's different on a G27, but on my wheel it masks all the subtle effects I need to control the car on the limit. Peace. :)

    So even on a DD wheel it's inconsistent from car to car? Weird...

    It adds some dampening, which might not be desirable for some cars that do not exhibit oscillation. Would be nice to have this option per car.
    Isn't that something Content Manager can do, I remember reading it somewhere?

    I agree. For the T500 you need to shed all the damping you can.
