1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Assetto Corsa Challenges:

From now on WHC is moving to an Ambient Temp of 10C.
This is to align with the RSR and to save PC users having to run twice. In most cases, we should all be faster!
This WHC is a little bit of an anniversary, so we’re having a double challenge with a single objective. You have less than 300 seconds, so need a combined time of five minutes or less.
The Abarth should take less than a minute and the Lotus, around or just over four.

It is the WHC debut for both cars, which leaves seven unused in WHCs. 1 Abarth, 2 BMWs and 4 Lotae.

Only 25 Evora GTEs were built in 2012, to homologate a race variant for GT3 and LM GTE regs. It was the fastest road car Lotus had produced, using the race car’s engine; an Eaton supercharger blown 3.5-litre V6, delivering roughly 440bhp and 370lb ft for just 1,277 kg (2,815 lb).
Around the Highlands the GTE feels planted, rides like a magic carpet and has a surfeit of grip. There is no showboating to be had. You can brake way late, the rear diff gifts traction, eventually pushing the nose wide but a slight throttle trim is all you need to tidy up. Carry speed through the corners!

The Abarth is a pocket of energy to chuck around Brands Indy.
A manual stick shift stirs the rorty little 1.4 turbo four pot and it doesn’t take long to get around. Your focus is the front axle, getting the nose tucked in to explore the grip level of your outside front tyre. Round and round you go!

Don’t forget to switch to 10C!

    Stats, Tyres and Times
    Recommended tyre pressures
Lotus – SemiSlicks: Front 32 psi / Rear 34 psi
Abarth – SemiSlicks: Front 33 psi / Rear 31 psi

    Fastest Time is 4:55.931
Lotus Evora GTE at Highlands Long - 3:59.256
Abarth 500 EsseEsse Step 1 at Brands Hatch Indy - 0:56.675

Coincidentally both times are set by Jacub Krcma

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Assetto Corsa Competizione Challenge: 10 mins Hotstint

We are driving through a hot Aussie afternoon at bumpy, twisty Bathurst in a Ferrari. Time progression is x24, Track Grip is FAST, the Ferrari really grips, but seemingly has no brakes. Maybe just me.
Here are the ECU dry maps 1-4:
1 - Fastest, normal fuel consumption
2 - Slower, less fuel consumption
3 - Slower, normal fuel consumption
4 - Slower, lowest fuel consumption
We will all be using the first map then.
    upload_2020-9-26_18-0-24.png
The drive from The Cutting to Forrest’s Elbow is thread needle with bumps to throw you off line. It’s easy to lose your aero addenda on the concrete walls.

Ten minutes of complete concentration is required!

    Tyres and steering lock
Recommended tyre pressure should be around 27 psi.
    Ferrari 488 GT3 - Steering Lock – 480°

    ☆☆PLEASE NOTE: WHC 197 IS STILL OPEN UNTIL 18:00 (GMT+1) TOMORROW. ☆☆

Fantastic combo. I love it. Unlike Mike though I dont think I'll find a lot more time.

I can feel it, the whole experience works. Broken record but I wish it was like that for all console players.

I think I robbed you with the G29 TW. Sorry man.

Possibly this week I'll have some more time to dedicate to whc, personal goal is not to be the last this week. [IMG]

Now I noticed that I mistakenly set light fog, which made pavement temperature a bit lower (8deg). Did I lose some time here? I'll fix it next time...

  14. Light fog is fine, you're free to choose and I think I might try it too.:)

@Mustang 500 is the first man under and comfortably so. I reckon he's got some time left around the Highlands too, judging by his excellent Short lap.
Myself and @Rod100 have work and lots of work, respectively! :)

The Long and the Short: 5mins 1.960 secs...

    Two seconds off.
I'm with @mike reynolds on the Fiat. From experience the car actually feels better on the sim (feelsome wheel, nuggety shifter) than it does in real life (slow witted with a spongey, rubbery shift)!!:D

So back to the Highlands then.

Using cold tire pressures 26 front and 28 rear, in order to reach the recommended tire pressures while driving.
Also changed rear camber to maximum, -2.3deg, trying to extract some more grip from the rear.
Special picture with a small tribute to Scotland.[IMG]
