1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

In real life could you set a quick time on a set of soft slicks with a track temperature of 0°C? I really doubt it. If not then we're entering gaming exploit territory.

Online leaderboards are about comparing your driving and setup skills with others rather than searching for software exploits. Stop buggering around with track temps and drive the cars ... That's my opinion :)

  2. Nope lol. You'd blister the tyres before they even get any sort of temp in them.

So, those fast times are a bug and/or limitation in the game?

To a point yes and clearly people only run those extreme low temps in servers is because they dont know how to do it in hotlap mode which in game has a min of 10c air. Not that it really matters or that eve RSR WR times matter but I suspect that if only pro times counted as a WR less would even care about setting non record times. I would like if RSR would actually change up the conditions for each track to a more typical weather for each location for their pro valid setting so to set a pro time to compare against others your not always running the same boring sunny 26c conditions for hotlaps.

Also extremely low temps do make people drive faster at least it was in Canada and north west US when I was there over the winter, people were doing 120mph+ in blizzards with temps well below zero. A few ended up upside down but hey if your not crashing your not trying. :D

  5. I do drive faster on snow, lol.

I'd imagine graining due to them being below the temperature window. But I really have no idea.

Grain them indeed, blistering will be if they overheat.

The trick here is to use cold temps and super-soft tyres on cars that have them. Those SS's would overheat otherwise in normal "Pro"-rank conditions. In AC the tarmac grip doesn't change with temp, so there's no moisture (or ice) forming up meaning cold temps are excellent and fast conditions for certain compounds. Imo a leaderboard shouldn't require the drivers to search for optimal conditions before setting a lap and instead it should be same for everyone..

I never stop to get surprised by the things some of you guys notice in/on the cars :D If a shadow is wrong on a car at a place where no one usually looks, it always someone that will see it and point it out :) This is not a "complaint" to you or anyone else that notice it, im more impressed than anything.

  14. If I don't work on similar things on the Audi TT Cup car I would never noticed things like that immediately :p And just because I've figured out this "issue" than I'll always say: Thank you for fixing it :)

BTW: If I hit the flashlight button in the RSR should the small blue led named BEAM also flashing? Or just the led in the "center console"? (I hope this is the right english word for it) o_O

Origianal car does not have that "Seg diff" part on the lcd screen. That right side is whole a bit different. It has "Predicted Lap" and "Lap Time". Is Predicted lap the same as we have? Check here:

The screen on that photo doesn't, but Porsche could program different layouts.

At least here it looks like what we have in AC:

Screens like that are fully programmable. So it could be different pages or different screens changed over time. The car was still in development until recently.

That photo was an early preview of the car, the display has since changed (along with half of the cockpit). There are various pages, this one we have is the one that provides the most information, and also what the drivers chiefly used in both races this year, as visible in both the Sebring and Daytona onboards.

We have all the documentation, it's not made up.

Ugh...I feel like an idiot. I thought the new Pit Strategy App appears from just pushing on the D-pad while on the track? Is there an .ini file that I might have changed a parameter and turned that off? I can't believe I don't remember this stuff...
