1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Great combo, great grid tonight but my GPU keeps giving me bluescreens. I'll buy a new one now and won't race again with this one.

    I'm looking at a 970, recommendations?

Anyway, tonite I actually think the 235 had a little issue with getting grip compared to the Scura. It also hit me, how boring the 235 actually is to drive!

Yeah, great racecar for it´s class, no doubt. Was fun closeracing last summer, and it really needs a packed close paced grid.

For me it looks like now it's a bad time to upgrade GPU because next gen is coming within 2016.
"10-times the performance" is just as they call it 'CEO-math', but next gen looks really promising what comes to performance.

For sure, but I don't really have any options - I spent some 10, 20 hours on these GPU related problems if you sum it up and most of my race sessions turn into troubleshooting sessions

Pascal flagship might come out in April and I bet you it will be an improvement not much bigger than the usual improvements. The 70 model will come out later and I won't wait until summer to be able to race again.

The only other option I still see is the PSU being an issue. So now I'll order a new PSU and a 970. I'll install PSU first and see if it helps. If not, I try the 970. If it's not gone then I will destroy something ;)

    Sorry for off-topic.

could ram be causing your blue screen? ive had some strange issues before that turned out to be ram related.

ram is easy to test as well. Just take out out all the ram and try them individually.

Thx guys. RAM test is a BIOS tool, right?

I will do it before replacing any components, for sure.

Would be good if you had spare/another gpu/psu too, to test.

Most BIOS has a RAM integrity check tool, yes. In my own experience, these cannot always be trusted though.

If you have more than one RAM-stick, you could, as dauntless suggests, run them each individually to see if one of the RAM-sticks is the culprit. Ideally, you should also run them in different slots on the motherboard just to be sure its not the slot itself...

Intermittent issues are always a b***** to troubleshoot...

I'll buy a new PSU and Asus Strix 770 GPU on Monday and will first check RAM, then replace PSU and then GPU. Will see what I need and return what I can :-D

  17. I took the BMW M235i R out for a spin on the server a bit later last night, and my results puzzled me. I was struggling to get the car into the 2:08s with the track grip and temperature (I think) around 96% and 20C. That is way slower than I was driving the Exige Scura, and yet they should be closely matched based on my offline practice sessions. To be honest, it reminds me of TBerg's comment that he could only manage 2:09s the other night in one of the races (which he won) after doing 2:06s previously.

I used to be a half decent driver of this car before the tyre upgrades were added, so I am somewhat perplexed

I was driving Lotus all evening so I can only guess. But I think it's related to tyre temps issues that Henri talked about.

Some really good races last night, but one was a highlight of the evening.
I had an awesome race with araque83, never met him online, yet we were going side by side through multiple corners. We passed each other couple times and were going side by side in the last couple corners on the last lap. I lost the battle but it was so good that I don't mind. Too bad I didn't save the replay.

Trust is less of an issue with the AB server, although I saw some incidents. But another difference is that people were saying sorry instead of Esc>Exit that is common thing in MP.

Had similar problems to you @LeDude83 and after re-seating the RAM it worked fine.
Just make sure the RAM is seated properly when you re-seat it or you'll get that sinking feeling that you've destroyed your PC entirely, like idiot features here did

Yes re seating the ram and also the gpu can work wonders with intermittent faults, presumably you already did this with the gpu though. If you are really unlucky you will replace the psu and gpu and it'll turn out to be the motherboard! Good luck man :)
