I personally would love a version with the 445bhp power.lut and would include it as an option in O2L. It may need a small amount of ballast running 445bhp but not an excessive amount. The Jag volume from inside other cars is a bit of an issue as well ATM, it is so loud you cant hear your car when your near it.

 

There is a piece with a sharp angle in the white wall on the start/finish straight. Because that wall is white and because I didn't notice that earlier, I misjudged the position of the wall on lap 12 and had a huge crash there.
Body and suspension/track were horribly broken.
I drove back to the pits (lost an additional 5s due to not being able to drive at proper speed on that lap) and went in for repairs.
I let it repair and fill up, but unfortunately it was too soon to being able to finish the race, there was no chance to finish the race with only that pit stop.
(I stopped again around 10 laps before finish.)

To be honest, I was surprised that at the end I almost had the chance to fight you again. A couple of laps more and I might have had the chance to attack you.

Well in the end, my pace wasn't that bad, but this just isn't my car and I was lacking concentration here and there.

 

@Jaguar Sound and physics fix has been prepared for ages now, would be nice to have a step version for Jaguar for more equal competition. I'm just too busy for modeling right now, but if we want and need there could be an update with minor or no model improvements at all, whatever. But I'm a bit worried if it wouldn't reduce attendance as people find it SO hard to look for mod, downloading it, and installing it. So difficult... Even though it would fit really well.

@Berniyh Well you are much faster guy, 4seconds faster with 917K at Nurburgring GT, I have no idea where to take those 4seconds, i tried tapping on brake to make it turn more, but didn't work... You were just faster, but I was in "safe mode", but I nearly crashed at that wall too though.

5s loss is not that bad, I had a lot of laps with 1.5-2.5s loss just because experimenting or my feet was just getting lighter.

I saw in a mirror as @pctm drove into the wall quite big time before lapping me at ~40lap and he was going as fast whatever... thats why I though that damage is low, also because there wasn't as much engine damage as I thought

 

Couldn't make it yesterday unfortunately I would have joined in the Alfa. Looking forward to the next one.

Which cars?

 

Most likely AE86 Tuned and Escort. With ballast in the Ford.

 

@pctm what do you think about using the MX5 Cup and 500 Assetto Corse for that BTCC style race? I don't think we can do a reverse race but we can use the 2 race format and add ballast inbetween. Maybe ballast after Q for the 1st one as well.

I may of jumped the gun a bit here but I already have my skin ready just incase

yep id think they would work well for such an event, laptimes should be close throughout the field, so ballast should mix things up nicely! and you got a head start on the skins....perfect!

Abarth 500 Assetto Corse & Mazda MX5 Cup at ?

2x 15-20min sprint races with ballast for qualifying and race 2 as above (as these cars have less power we could also try half the weight above.) People can choose which of the 2 cars they want to race by posting here before hand (not fixed to 12 of each.) A small amount of BoP ballast may be applied first depending on which track. It is only a small amount, here is the list I have for a few tracks already:

 

We could try the 2 race and ballast format next Friday under regular pub conditions (multiple sessions, while admin are present we can sort grid ballast.)

These cars already provide close lap times and racing with their different strengths and weaknesses. With success ballast as well it could really mix things up

I recon a vanilla track would be best. Suggestions welcome (ideally 24 slots) any of the shorter configuation tracks at Silv or RBR would work well, Vallelunga Extended hasnt been used for a long time either.

 

I think no ballast for qualifying and the full BTCC ballast for race 2 might be the way to go. Im hoping if we can get 5 or so regulars in on Friday it will pick up My Handy (Andy) Motorsport Abarth is ready to go I might run a test 1 night before Friday as I havent used the 2 Race format yet. Hoping one of you guys will choose the track. Based on feedback from V8 using these cars on 6 I will probably put 8-10 Abarths and 14-16 MX5 Cup cars.

BTW I will be very late home today so I wont be changing the server or racing MP.

 

Hmm... seems like the right time to unleash DTM cars.

Hating the DTM cars is last season. The Merc is tolerable of late. My hatred is focused on the Cobra, Escort, Group C and 917K now

 

Did you try the 917K recently? IMO, it's much improved. Could also be my setup improvements, but for some reason, I doubt that.

At some point, I think doing the combo 917/30 at VIR Full Course would be quite cool.
Unfortunately, the next day that I have time (and I would like to join) is Monday, maybe …
