1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Are AC street cars too easy to drive on the limit ?

Thanks, settings min force to 14% did the trick. I didn't use that software though, so I still have to 'calibrate' it, but it's a great step forward.

  2. funny that while Aris was here in vallelunga to finalize console FF some days ago we also ended up adding a couple of parameters in the TM (version 7) to control the falloff of the curve at high slips to better differentiate slicks.

  3. Awesome news!

Now this is some good news :) but we also need some tool to see the results (slip curves).

Could you add more flexibility to the thermal model too ? would be really helpful :)

Great news but does that mean we would be having some cars on TM 7 and some on TM 6/5 because as far as I understand its a lot of work upgrading the TM on all the cars. I was really hoping that for 1.5 all the cars would be on a consistent tyre model.

  8. Plenty of time to sleep once we'll be dead ;) or when the project will end.. until then, the plan is to please ourselves knowing we're improving the simulator.

I understand it as "We work day and night to bring all cars on V7 tyres in 1.5 update. We will get some sleep later."
I might be just reading what I want to read. ;)

Anyway, for me all cars on the same TM would be a highlight of 1.5.

  10. TM7 is just TM6 with a couple of parameters not hardcoded but available to be tweaked. It'll be implemented for cars that could get advantage from having those values "custom" and not at their default values.

So, on the loading screens would we see all cars with TM 7 mentioned ;)??

PS: I wish I never knew which cars are on which TM. Would have enjoyed everything then :p

  12. I will be happy enough if the handful of v4 tyre model cars are upgraded for 1.5.

Looking at what Stefano said in the post you quoted, some on TM6 and some on TM7.

Placebo effect would drop by 34%.

I think replacing TM4,5,6 for TM7 on loading screens shouldn`t take that long .. you would probably never notice difference ;)

i have a vague recollection that when you limit tyres either with fixed setup or the conventional method you can change to the banned tyre once you pit... if i didnt just dream that up, it would be nice to see it fixed :p can anyone confirm? i have fish memory

Ive never tried to limit tyres via fixed setup but the regular method works with no issues. I wouldnt be surprised if trying to linit tyres via a fixed setup fails and I never tried that method as the other way works.

trouble is it doesnt work for more than 1 car a lot of the time which is why we use fixed setup when we need to

Good to hear, I was getting worried it would make everything feel radically different again as you're pretty close to the sweet spot with 6 [IMG]

Your graph shows less than ~5% drop off above optimal slip angle with racing slicks? Does that look normal?

Considering it was at a load below what that tyre would usually see while cornering, 5% is ok IMO, even the shape is decent.
I'm very eager to see what the new parameters will be able to control. Will we get a very peaky curve around optimal then somewhat flat beyond on slicks? Will the peaky part only pop up under higher loads? Can't wait to see.
