1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

It feels like unprecedented access with regards understanding how ACC drives.

For one of the main guys involved with development to give this much time to the community, honestly it’s amazing.

    Much appreciated Aris.

So at around min:55 you talked about ECU: 3-5 HP more or less, sounds not that much, but it feels much higher for me... my qestion: is modulating hp by fuel the only task for ecu?
What's about ignition time for example
    ... and the Nm'?
It could be that I need to see a diagram or so for clearer imagination:)

I've read many posts and guides on how the diff preload works and never really quite understood it as much as I would have liked. For that reason, I've always been hesitant to alter this setting.

This is the first time someone has been able to explain it to me in a way that I can grasp.

    Great job. Thank you @Aristotelis

Same here, diff preload was a little rocket science, but now its much clearer. the special event with the porsche at bathththurst was a mystery for me. today with the new knowledge (hope i know a littel more than before ;)) it was much better. thank you a lot again!

it was not clear for me totally.
the amount i set in the setup menu, is the torque difference between the left and right wheel, when the differential closes?
so... low number is more "closed" differential?
    or it is reversed?

the number is the amount of torque, the diff handles. lower number, diff is "less active" ?? i am not sure how to explain. hope it is right and understandable,
so @trutya - when i understood your last question right, it is reversed. higher number, more torque is "transferred" between the wheels.

fine then, i always found it more comfortable for me to use higher values. so it must be the more "open" diff.
however there is plenty of understeer in faster corners with higher values..

When the differential opens (and then goes to its presets values whatever those are)

The lower the number the sooner the diff will “open”

I suggest you guys look again the video and do some practice on a car and track combo you know well. It’s a complicated material for sure.

great @Aristotelis , thanks for clearing this.
so i thought it works reversed. but in other sims somehow i found the car more unstable out of slow corners with low number... but maybe in them it works otherwise? :D

You sure it was preload and not another differential setting?
