1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I'll also make a test with NVidia Surround in fullscreen, but honestly I don't like it because it adapts to the lowest resolution of my three screens (2x 1920x1080, 1x 1680x1050)

I tried that AA8x in video.ini. Ingame it tells me it´s off(slider). It looks like it´s off. But fps are like 8x. So i switched back to 4x+fxaa. Looks much better and fps are too. Maybe you want to overlook this too.

All in all no surprises at my settings. It is what i have known before.

I'm a little confused about the "points" score. I'd have thought that would have been calculated by the sheer raw power of your rig, but it seems to be linked to the FPS generated? A bit like other benchmarks like 3DMark or whatever, it gave you a score based upon your rig?

  7. wesuperstar

yes its fps based. if i uncheck and turn everything to the left for highest fps i get almost 40000pts

I actualy like that. Whats the use for a benchmark that is not based on the the values you actualy use. Sure i get trilled with new scores @3dmarks when i have installed new hardware. But the single screen score is in no relation to what I actualy use when racing. We now finaly have a tool that can predict an outcome for an upgrade, based on the benchmarks done (and logged here) by colleges. Best would be if we can somehow get this in al database.

What bothers me is that both tests deliver almost the same points and the same average FPS. The experience while watching the benchmark was also very fluid. So with PP-effects ON I only lost 1 FPS (59 average FPS instead of 60 average FPS with PP off) BUT THIS IS NOT what I experience while PLAYING!?
If I PLAY with PP-Effects ON I would NEVER get an average of 59 FPS. With PP-Effects ON I have always FPS-drops especially with so many opponents like shown in the benchmark.
So why is the benchmark so good with PP ON and why is the gaming-experience bad with PP ON?
Could it be the ForceFeedback of the wheel? Because during gaming the FF is working and during the benchmark the FF is off? Is the FF so heavy on performance (so that it would make the benchmark senseless...)?

By the way: What means VARIANCE? And what means CPU=x% ?

EDIT: It would be nice if we could exactly PLAY the same race like in the benchmark so I could test what is the exact difference in FPS between benchmark and real driving-experience. Does anybody know if this is possible? Track is clear (Spa) but the rest not (Quickrace with how many opponents and which ones? Which weather settings and so on....)

Keep in mind that I use Radeon Pro for AA and AF as this gives me ~ 10FPS compared to the ingame option.
As said I have run several test. The numbers are shown beneath:

    And in Graphs:

The problem is: For me the outcome is that almost all settings in benchmarktool give somewhat the same outcome. But that is in contradiction to when I play Assetto wher the slightest change in settings (or sometimes drivers) can give big changes to STEADY FPS. What are your thoughts on this outcome? What to think about the setting Redering low. CPU goes down... frames goes up? It doesnt make sence to me at the moment.

  20. The loading time differences are nothing more than first time loading the benchmark. The HDD that you have the game installed is taking a "nap" and takes time to spool up to read the data.
Modern 7200rpm HDD reads 80-160 MB/s for larger files, and that is plenty to get the job done in 10-12 seconds if there is no other bottleneck.
