I wonder if they could get the 2016 R8 road car. That would be awesome.

Nothing mutch afaik. Just that we're getting the 2016 Audi R8 LMS (GT3) at the beginning of 2017

 

The only (cosmetic) flaw of the RedPack is that every car has a default skin red BUT the MC GT4, which is white by default even if there's a full red skin available. Wouldn't make more sense switching the default skin to red for that car too?
Nitpicking here of course.

 

There's certainly more straight edges and hard-edged corners on the front face, which is what I'm guessing he means by that. It reminds me of the difference between a classic curving race track and one that was designed by Tilke....

If the reviews are to believed the new R8 is through and through a better car though.

You would, but it's amazing how often manufacturers don't pull that off.

 

I wonder if we will actually make it to 40+ new cars released by the end of the year. There have been quite a few cars that I thought would be coming this year that ended up being scheduled for next year. I wonder if we're going to get any new material for brands like Mercedes, Lamborghini and Ford, it would be nice to see the more track-oriented AMG GTR. Kunos is a small team, therefore it can be difficult to keep up with the pace of the content.

 

Or we could get 16 Lotus'es and 24 Porsche's, that will really please the crowds.
Joking aside, fret not, even Kunos said they are "in over their head" as far as cars go, they don't have enough time to make them, the content is right there in front of them to take, but they have to prioritize stuff, if we get 40 cars until the end of the year, people will say they weren't paying attention to the true-racing-simmers part of the game, and not implementing features (like they always do).So yeah, subject closed, has been for 3 years, they always try to satisfy everyone and get in as much content and as much software development as they can, all we can do is wait and see .

If they havent gone with the decisions of making 24 Porsches, we probably have a much higher chance of seeing more Mercedes, Lamborghini, Ford and others.

Would love to drive the new R8 and AMG GT in AC.

Almost no one buys manual transmissions anymore in supercars, or even sportcars, so they are looking after and listening to their customers/their sales, the vast majority of people who want a manul transmission in these cars won't ever afford them .

 

Only 26% of new Z06's had manuals, the all sold instantly and now GM is converting a lot more to manual due to sales tanking... There is still a lot of demand in the US. Super -super cars (over 250k+), they can't be manual due to their design and need for lots of electronics and aids so random stupid rich guy doesn't bin it right after delivery... Miss use of massive amounts of HP is bad for your health...

 

As capable as the Z06 is, its overall appeal and use isn't really that of a supercar.Even cars like the Porsche Boxster or 911 have a huge disparity between the manual and PDK option, people don't buy them that much in hot hatches either, the sad truth is, they are going away, and quite fast, manufacturers are appeasing the enthusiast market as much as they can, but at one point it will be too much of a financial liability.
Just out of curiousity, if people wanted so many manual Z06's, why weren't there more than 26% built? Aren't they usually built-to-order? As in, you order your car with a manual transmission if you want one, you get to choose .
