1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I'll let you know shortly. I have a 1080 ti in shipment for delivery on Friday and will have it running AC on a Rift shortly after its arrival.

  5. Thank, don't forget to do the test with both gpu.

Is there a way to unlock framerates? That way we could see the actual difference if @RReed43 want to do some testing and not just "it can handle 90 fps/it cant handle 90 fps" but more specific how much the difference is.

Yes. Just don't touch the Rift when going onto track so that the screens of the Rift never were active after going on track.
When the screens are not active the oculus framelimit isnt active.
You can see the framerate with msi afterburner on the mirrorscreen on the Monitor.

why? for me 1080 ti will be a way to get a solid 90 fps with all settings to max (yep with reflections rendering to high/ultra) and with 40 TOTALLY fifferent cars on Nord Endurance:D
feel free to get a comfort play with such settings to see that this is impossible for now:D:D

No way. At 2.0 PD and post processing on ...it will bring a 1080ti to it's knees. Like the other thread mentioned we are not close to maxing out this game in VR. Maybe at 1.5PD we can make some progress, but to me that is still to blurry.

why ppd 2.0? mine is 1.0 - and with aa 4x and everything maxing out except reflections with pp on and 30 different opponents on Nord Endurance i have a nice 90 fps already. so for me cranking up ac settings & amount of opponents will be easily provided by 1080ti - i'm certain of it:D for me it is not a myth

It looks horrible with low ppd and you can't read a brake zone sign from 20m away or see things with any clarity 75m away. As mentioned above in the link I'm
Running a titanX OC at almost 2000mhz which according to the results is on par or faster than the 1080 ti (just more expensive).

A 1080ti will get you 1.7 ppd, 4AA, very high environment/high shadows/static low reflections and a butchered pp (mine literally has everything disabled but brake lights) and that's with 12-16 cars AND still you will get stutters here and there in certain cars/corners. That's the best your gonna see until kunos does some optimization or SLI gets working.

maybe. however i don't see much difference between 4xx aa and ppd 1.7 or even 2.0 - it is almost the same image for me, increasing ppd on current cv1 resolution doesn't make any sugnificant sense for me - so why to pay more in terms of preformance cost for getting almost the same?:p

I'm not being flippant or trolling you - are you wearing glasses between the oculus? I was and had to upgrade to the contact covers.

If not AND you have the inerocular distance set correctly you really need to move the headset around on your face and find the sweet spot. There is a massive difference between 1.0 and 1.5. Far greater than 4AA in fact. Many will side with an extra tenth of ppd and stay at AA2.

Seriously if your not seeing a significant difference with ppd you are not seeing the stereo image correctly. Find a track that starts with signs off in the distance and try to read them with ppd of 1.0 and 2.0. If your not seeing a difference you need a optics review of some sort.

    - you're literally the only person I've ever heard say this. Again - not trolling, trying to help you experience something better.

no i'm wearing contact lenses. and yes i know what the sweet spot is:D and yes i see stereo image correctly:D you know, once this ppd thing appeared and hyped i was trying to catch the difference. and with pp on i can't say it is so significant to force me to crank up ppd to 2.0 or whatever. and yes the signs are less visible from the distance - so this is not a monitor panel, the crispness for this tech is not so huge as we all wanted to be - so i accepted it:D and yes this tech have changed my perception considerably so no more lcd screens in my sim cockpit:cool:

  15. Which ppd did you change ?
It is inside 2 directory, 1 in steamapps and 1 in document, the one which needs to be changed is in document.

  16. hazardic

    hazardic Alien

the correct one - in documents

Yeah, sounds like someone changed the wrong ppd ini.
Massive difference from 1.0 to 1.5, as said.
Once over 1.7-1.8, it stops adding to the image quality, anything above is wasted gpu.

  18. So you are lucky if ppd 1 doesn't disturb you :D
