1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Hard to catch slide without stability control

  1. The F40 does have a fairly slow steering ratio, but it does react to inputs well.

Ok. I have been having problems with the V2 Fanatec\BMW rim. Tec got back to me and told me to update firmware to 142.

Not sure if it fixed the squealing and the short outs after more than an hour's hard driving but I can steer the F40 now. Haven't tried anything else yet will let you know.

I also updated Fanaleds, which are not working. Will look into it.

    Thank you.......Thank you.......Thank you. All!!!!

Ok. I'll have to check. Not sure what I got but man is right on. It feels really good.

My timing is so off now. I'm not just over steering. I'm steering too soon now but the wheel and sim feels way more accurate.

I knew there was something wrong and it's not Kunos' fault for sure. I can tell where the front wheels are pointing in the F40 now. That is so cool!

Man, now I have to learn how to drive again.

    Hi guys!

Been enjoying AC in VR. Had a chance to get a good feel of things. I have been driving as many cars as I can and have noticed some cars have that dead steer the F40 has still got, although it is the best it has ever been to date. One of the more realistic feeling cars (in my set up) is the Yellow Bird Porsche. I have read that the car should have come with driving test when you bought one, the turbo lag was so bad. When driving this car in AC VR, it is very believable, full marks. No, I am not very good at driving it and is a handful, but when I turn the wheel just a little the car reacts (good or bad), something happens. The F40 on the other hand in AC still has a dead spot in the steering reaction. There are other cars that have the same problem I guess the F40 breaks my hart the most. It is fun until I get into the dead zone.
Comparing the Yellow Bird with zero Stability Control would be equal to the F40 with 100% Stability Control. It is still that extreme.
Why do some systems work and others don't? A bug of some sort?
