1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Online there are too many cheats and offline ai ram all the time.

Don't get me wrong but maybe you should reassess your driving style. A race is not achieved during Lap 1 or 2! :)

Many thanks for the response. I am fully prepared to admit that I get shoved off the track from behind on corner entry or mid-corner most times when I have made a mistake, i.e. typically, braked too early. It seems to me that in this situation, the AI does not have the capacity to take evasive action, to hit the brakes itself, or to alter its line, possibly to its own advantage. It sticks to its line (which is your line) and does not adjust to the effect of your early braking. Even though this is my mistake, it should not be punished like this, especially when the AI car involved never spins off itself and can always continue to race. As I said before, it would be great if some sort of probability of driving error could be programmed into the AI at lower levels of AI competence, so that the player sometimes has to react to AI mistakes rather than just the other way round, but that is a slightly different issue.

that is how I see it also.
I had to brake a bit early, because of front aerodamage and bang, the AI car behind me spun me out and took 1st place..

  4. BTW im not some sort of noob at racing games and ive been playing these games for about 18 years so i know what racing lines are and track position bla bla. I have over 600 hours in AC too. Im not saying im a fantastic driver but im not crap either and i can post ok times for example Im obviously not the only one who is experiencing what im experiencing. Unfortunatly i cant get a good enough example of ai nudges and collisions recorded at present. I do notice the ai hitting each other at race starts too. The ai are very keen to late brake and go inside and often cause raikkonen /botas sort of collisions. To avoid this i have to run wide or take a daft line into the turn to keep the inside path closed.

Give him a break guys. AI is really late on brakes sometimes which results in them hitting you in the back. They are mostly ok and have good battles, but here and there they forget to brake.

I've seen enough evidence in this thread alone that online cheating exists and is possible. It's funny how people are jumping all over the OP when he makes a valid point.

  7. That video of a Formula Abarth cheat hack in post #71 is laughable. I think I would probably be in stitches if I ever saw something like that online. I mean, how pathetic do you have to be to use something as pointless as that?

We are still waiting for a video of you racing the AI. No one can tell your breaking/cornering behavior or how you choose your lines. No one can tell a thing or give advice based on your fulminate description.
    Good evening

    This is even better:

I dont think theres any online game out there without people cheating.

  10. I rest my case. This is my only attempt at a quick race today and just 1 example.

  11. I guess we are going to pretend that you were on the correct racing line (you weren't) and that you weren't practically stopped in the center of the turn (you were) and chalk this up to bad AI. Seems legit.

  12. Do me a favour..... the car behind was on the same line. Am i supposed to ram the guy in front to avoid getting hit from behind. Its up to the guy behind not to hit me. Its not as if i cut him up and took his racing line. Pull your head out and see some light. You live in some sort of fantasy world. And btw its lap 1 and as in real life a racing line is difficult to adhere to with all the surrounding traffic.

anyway ... no issues running 98% AI 3 cars wide on zadvoort firs 4 corners and than 2 cars wide till corner 11 ... nobody touches nobody ... you just need to give them racing space ... AI is faaaaaar from perfect but most collisions between me and AI were basically same that are happening 10 times every DTM race or Blancpain .. also you might try Spotter app

  16. You ran a car wide on turn 1; you are braking two or three car lengths too early; and you are all over the road. You would have either been in, or caused, three separate incidents before you got hit if that had been actual people instead of AI.

The AI make plenty of mistakes for sure, but this was simply a case of them not knowing what exactly to do about the clueless guy in the middle of the road. (happens to me too FWIW) If you still have the replay go back and look at the your speed when you got hit, and then look to see what speeds the AI are running through that part of the corner.

  17. Yeah i know there are alot of collision in dtm and wtcc. Its realistic having contacts now and then but in this game with 100 percent damage switched on the smallest contact makes car real bad to drive.

  18. If you look at the car in front of me before the collision you will see it lose speed in the turn. I have to back off then before i can get some grip im hit direct from behind and you think that my fault. I agree i had a bad start and ran a car wide at the start and was not on any proper lines but that aint possible with all the traffic. I can race much more agressive and brake miles later but this will still happen. If you can get through lap 1 without incident then a ok race is possible.
