Generic Weekly Hotlap #10 - Handle with Care!

Nope, no stability control, no traction control or abs. Abs and traction control are set to "factory", everything else is off.

I reduced the maximum brake pressure in the setup to 85% which makes it a lot easier for me to brake without locking the wheels (still happens sometimes). Maybe the loadcell brake pedal helps a bit too, it allows a little more precision. In some corners i'm touching the brake just a tiny bit to get some weight on the front axle which gives more grip to turn in.

About rear grip: I start with a little throttle and then add more and more until i'm full throttle (you see me countersteer a lot) but the sound engine doesn't really show if i'm driving with 75% throttle or 100%. If i remember i'll put the pedal app on the screen next time, so you can see what i'm really doing with my feet.

Also the audio seems to be a bit out of sync (don't know what's causing it ... need to find a way to fix this).

Need to build confidence that I can cope with what the car is going to do as power is applied, mainly in the long sweepers where the throttle is being picked up...

Not sure what to do with the front right, watching the clip back, it seems to need a little more pressure...

Really have no idea what direction to go with setup, tried a few bits but nothing really had any impact, it's the right foot that needs work

Anyone know what the deal is with track temps (ps4 here)? I can see we're all sticking to 26 ambient but some of you are getting track temps of 36/37 (with 51c for Kembo!) and I'm at 27c. I run at midday (fewer shadows = better fps, in my mind), so why is the track so cold?

Anyway, managed to knock some time off my best (despite having 30l of fuel vs 5l first time out): 2:05.521

 

PS4 track temps are bugged, it should be squashed in the hotfix that is coming soon...

Not sure if the problem has been resolved in V1.09 on Xbox 1?

No need to worry about track temps in Assetto Corsa, they make a minimal difference to tyre temps, especially with the wide temperature range of the tyres on this car, it will make exactly zero difference. Ambient temperature is the important one that affects laptimes.

recently and there must be some sort of bug when you set track temp to 0c, the first race im sure it was 0c but the next one it was 200c+(IIRC)... tyre temps still looked normal

A bit of a battle at the top, the lead changed hands 3 times today! 5 new entries, gives us a top 20, is the Cobras bite putting people off? PC players hold the top 6 spots, it seems to be get your own back time

I have been trying to improve my time, but I keep sliding off track and losing my time. Guess I'll be stuck where I'm at for now. Anybody got setup tips? I've toyed around with antiroll bars and height. Scared to screw with suspension too much
