1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Welcome to the thread for Weekly Hotlap #23 - Hachiroku Battle!

    The Challenge.
    Car: Toyota AE86 Tuned
    Track: Nurburgring Sprint (GT)

    Another first for the WHC this week, a tuned car, that means you get a little more to play with! The Tuned AE86 is a nice little motor, light, agile and a lot of fun in the corners :cool: You get 200bhp and a set of semi slicks to put it down with :)

    We take the sprint circuit, the shortest version of the Nurburgring available, the shortcut is actually a tricky little corner to get right, entry is blind and it is down a bit of a hill, again we take the GT version, as it is the fastest layout.


    The Rules.
    Time of day: Free
    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Factory
    Stability:Free
    Penalties: On <--- Only applicable to Practice mode.

    Please make sure you have the ambient temperature set correctly, I really don't like disallowing times!

    The Deadline.
    Sunday March 19th- 22:00 GMT

    How to take part!
    To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap / Practice choose the Toyota AE86 Tuned and head to Nurburgring Sprint (GT). Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

    You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple :) All Platforms are welcome, it is all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa.

    To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature.


    Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

    You also need to state the time and your platform in the body of your post, this should be the first thing you do, the image should then be placed below the text. It would also be helpful to mark updated times with Improvement. This makes collating the results much easier.

    Great choice, I have been drifting (attempting) with this car over the past week and it's very good, sounds crazed at the top end too!

    Can´t do any better than 1:48.9 .

    I tried changing the setup of the car (default one is pretty bad), and no matter what I do, the car has a tendency to lose the rear AFTER BRAKING, as soon as I release the brake pedal and move the wheel, so in most hard braking corners, I need to counter-steer a bit at the entrance...

    Osh, tough car..........

    Another car with a very particular (peculiar?) way of driving it, it's low power, so you don't want to slide too much, but the chassis has massive power on understeer, so you need to slide it into the apex to get a decide exit, if any car with an example of juxtaposition, it's this one!

    Anyway, only a quick banker this morning (why is it the first lap I do is normally the best out of a 10 lap session?!)

    Heat, pressure and tyre breaking in?

    Break in means the tyre reaching peak grip early in lap one and then dropping off again on lap two, with wear switched off I am lead to believe that the tyre will never reach peak grip.

    Probably a combination of all of the above.

    One lap reset, rinse and repeat seems to be the most efficient way ;)

    My bad, that is two DLC cars on the trot, base game or free content next week for sure...The track will be Magione. Just don't leave me with car choice you will get something on stilts ;) :eek:

    Completely worth it if you need a recommendation. This car is blast, plus cars like the tuned supra, and RX7 are great fun. The slower cars are fantastic as well, MX-5 Cup is the best car to improve your driving in Assetto in my opinion.

    Nice! Shifter will be moved to the left side again for the first time in months. Haven't actually driven this car yet tbh. Also means R34, Supra, and RX-7 at Nordschleife again (online)!

    Past 1:30AM here, so I'll be back on later to set (and post) a time...
