1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Welcome to the thread for Weekly Hotlap #34 - Tin Tops

    The Challenge.
    Car: Mercedes Benz 190E Evo II
    Track: Imola

    Back to a proper racing car once H-pattern, ABS but no TCS, you get a selection of tyre compounds to choose from, and a highly adjustable chassis. You can also explore aero balance with this one, not to mention 370+ BHP :) In testing it had lots of grip, and was pretty easy to get around the track, no doubt a qualifying setup on softs will make the thing a little more difficult to drive...

    Imola, tight little chicane towards the end of the track, this should lead to some two wheel action :cool: the rest of the track flows really nicely, proper and old school spring to mind :)

    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Factory
    Stability:Free
    Penalties: On <--- Only applicable to Practice mode.

    If it isn't mentioned here then assume the setting is free.

    Please make sure you have the ambient temperature set correctly, I really don't like disallowing times!

    How to take part!
    To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap / Practice choose the Mercedes Benz 190E Evo II and head to Imola Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

    You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple :) All Platforms are welcome, it is all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa.

    To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature.

    Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

    You also need to state the time and your platform in the body of your post, this should be the first thing you do, the image should then be placed below the text. It would also be helpful to mark updated times with Improvement. This makes collating the results much easier.

    I'm always struggling with two corners at Imola. Later this week more practicing

    Next challenge is already sorted (as discussed in WHC #33) it will only change if the Xbox gets updated this week!

    After months of driving cars that are way outta my financial league, it feels so refreshing to finally be able to compete in a car that is close to what I've actually experienced in real life.

    No I haven't been lucky enough to have driven one of these Evos but I did have a couple of experiences with regular W201 190e in my life.

    The first one belonged to a dear Uncle who's sadly not with us anymore, way back in the 80s. He was a successful doctor and I can still vividly remember the time he took the child version of myself for a ride in his brand spanking new 190e. I believe that was the first experience that really turned me into a lifelong Merc fan.

    The second experience was driving a friend's 2.3 16 like I stole it some 10 years ago... and now, this...

    Boy, this car is just as awesome as I thought it would be. That wailing Cosworth tuned engine, the close ratio 6 speed manual box, even the 10-link rear suspension is just as I imagined how my car's underpinnings would work when everything is turned up to eleven.

    Oh, and the steering on the G29 felt just like how an old school Mercedes recirculating ball steering should be i.e. accurate but dead. Huge kudos to Kunos for making everything feel so real.

    Thanks again for the combo GT!

    I've missed soo many challenges due to tv problems etc.Finally have keeper after,banding,dse etc.seriously out of practice but looking forward to posting a time in the week.

    190 and Imola. And the new H-Shifter. I do not race. I fight. Nobody will see my videos. Its a nightmare atm....:eek:
    The motor screams into my ear. Every corner is hectic. Thought the Lambo was difficult but here i have to learn a lot....o_O
    Then i did 2:03 and ---- wrong temperatur - 22°-----:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
    I will fight the screaming BabyBenz for some laps. Hope i survive.....100% stressing :(

    Now it is time for some setup changes even the car fells fantastic with the "original one".
    Only changed to soft tyres and 10l fuel so far. :)
