1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    First time poster to the forum here. Just wanted to say thanks to Moodyryder for organizing.

    It's been fun and frustrating in equal measure! This combo is unforgiving. I've lost count of the times I've crashed out. Almost every corner has its dangers, combined with the 962c fish tail this has been a challenge even to complete a lap. I'd be surprised if I have completed more than a dozen valid laps since I started the challenge on Friday 1st December. I seem to be able to find new and interesting ways to ruin most laps! But I'm nothing if not stubborn - monkeys, typewriters and Shakespeare spring to mind.

    I thought I'd ruined the lap I've posted. I ran wide on the last corner, dropped a wheel on the grass, floored the throttle, lost the back end before spinning and crashing into the pit wall. I was screaming at the TV in anger before I realized that the spin carried me over the line. If you look at the screenshot you'll see that I'm facing the wall.

    I had a look at the record times on RSR. A guy called Alexander Müller holds the best time of 6:09.358. Checking the split times, I am +05.993s down at sector 1, +09.259s at sector 2 and +15.444s crossing the line. This is because when I spin off the track I tend to restart the lap (I know I shouldn't). Consequently, I know the first sector better than the rest. More practice needed on sectors 2 and 3.

    Anyway, back to Nordschleife to see if I can improve.

    I'm looking forward to the next challenge.

    Welcome to the WHL, all players are appreciated here. It doesn't matter if you do the Nordschleife in 6 minutes or 16 minutes, it's all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa. :)

    Thanks Moodyryder. 16 minutes isn't far off my first complete lap time! I'm loving Assetto Corsa. I've had it about six weeks now. I'm new to sim racing - the last time I was behind the wheel of a virtual car was Gran Turismo, the one after GT Prologue. So it's been a pretty steep learning curve, but great fun.

    This thread probably isn't the place to raise this, but has anyone noticed changes to the track markings? Some markings that I was using as reference points earlier today are no longer there. After you climb out of foxhole and before you enter Adenauer Forst there is a zebra crossing. I was using it earlier as a turn in point, but now it isn't there. Also, just before Hatzenbach there is a kilometre marker and a few metres after that a white dot to signal the turn in point of the next corner. It was there earlier today but not now. I have a saved video which clearly shows the markings.

    I was wondering if anyone else has noticed the discrepancies.

    In the second one they removed the zebra crossing but a tree was planted.

    I think it is because you are using a different camera, in the first one you’re in cockpit camera while in the second one you’re in the dash camera, and possibly the lods are set different for each camera.

    Phantom zebra on the Nordschleife. I had a quick look at my introduction video, which is on cockpit camera like your screenshot, but the crossing is not there.

    WHL 45 was the Ferrari 312t on the Nordschleife. I had a look back at my video of that and the crossing IS there.

    Strange, as you say.

    Beware, zebras crossing.

    To be honest, it isn't a problem. Especially the case of the missing dot - you are going so fast at that point and the road is so bumpy it is hard to see. I was concentrating too much on the dot and more often than not I would miss the turning in point.

    It is possibly FOV related, in the PC version at least the higher the FOV the more objects popping up. In the dash camera and in the moody video the FOV is higher than in the picture with the zebra crossing.
