Had a spin around last night. With the new fov the dashboard camera (fixed cockpit view) doesn't always workout. It does on the Ford but for the the Lotus it was more like bonnet view. On console you can only move the seat back in the normal cockpit view. I guess on PC you can fixe that.

Had to take a 15 min break around the 17 min mark, all got a little too much, but I finished with plenty of room to improve so I am blumin happy!

Two seconds slower than two years ago....
I remember this being a great car, but presumably, that was after a week of setting up!
Out of the box, it is borderline undriveable.
I haven't got my original set-up because AC kept crashing, every time you selected anything, so I had to reformat the console and the only game data that didn't save correctly was AC!

Up one second!
Lots of fiddling with the set-up, particularly the differential, has got me a smoother car to drive!
Lowered, softened the springs, reduced camber and toe, shortened gears and 20, 30 and 10 preload for the diff seems to settle things.

I implemented the same setup changes like @Totall Wrytoff. As usual I try to focus more on my driving as on the setup with these F1 cars, as this was the first time for me in this car.

For this car, I find set up does matter more.
I couldn't concentrate on my driving until I'd settled it down.
It would snap oversteer violently when I touched the brake and understeer massively on the throttle. In a straight line, even feeding in the throttle would throw the car to the left or right. Never sure which...

It's a quiet start to WHC 217 but here's how we stand.
Congratulations to @GoodGame.eXistenZ for two new WRs under his belt, especially the mega lap at Spa. That is one point five seconds faster than the previous WR.
@caly82 pops in a fast time with the escort in Scotland, myself and @Emmanuel Tubbiolo resume our duel and it's too early to call anything yet in ACC.

Nearly.. had to go to bed and settle with that. I so had the 1.22. I did this time messing up the long straight after the bridge so passed that ghost 50 times but messed up something else after. My eyes didn't follow. Too tired.
