1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Worst problem of every online game ?

But out of the noobs rank some people will come out and form a higher skilled rank.

I just think that following the multiplayer examples of successful Steam games is worth going after. Most sims right now just have regular multiplayer like in the old days, where the community hosts the servers or have some 3rd party service. Comparing the number of active players in traditional multiplayer to ranked matchmaking in official servers, the difference is abysmal for the single fact that online isn't boring any more and it became the actual game.

Community servers are all over the place, leagues are all over the place, yet if the company offers the place and the system for people to play online, is just much more convenient and faster for everyone. The only thing you do is open the game - play online - select the stuff (racing category, your car), and join the queue for a match. Now you're placed in a race with 20 others similarly ranked and from nearby regions. Any time of the day, no need to wait for a scheduled race that starts in one or two hours, or find and sign up for a league to play on another scheduled day of the week, find some pub server you don't like but there's nothing else...

Partially agree with that, but there are two details: "Auto-matchmaking" works exponentially better with user/session numbers, and the opposite. You won't see a good experience when the system can only chose one of 3 or 4 servers when you want to join. Only a good MP system won't suddenly change the numbers in a niche market compared to a shooter.

And none of the successful games is as vulnerable to trolls or low skill dudes. Both can ruin a race session for almost everybody in T1, while the most succesful MP games either are even designed to mitigate them, or have an easy way to exclude those. Like FF = off, or counting and penalizing teamkills

Also in those games the content differences aren't as big as in driving game. So much different types of cars. Matchmaking would be too complicated.

PUBG for example is hitting nearly 1million avg players per month, Ac "slightly less".

And when some of them plays driving game, they feel like they have to kill others lol Must be influence of those shooters. xD

But I said in my post that for matchmaking you don't need all the content in the game. Is wiser to separate and put available only the popular content. GT, LMP, Formula, Historic, Cup car (like the audi vln or so). Not more than that. Then a list of the best racing tracks that users don't get to choose but are attributed randomly each new race. No need more than 10 of them fine laserscanned tracks.

For example in csgo the match only starts when the 10 players pressed accept (its 5v5 team match). After that if you abandon (you can disconnect and come back within 3 min) you receive a cooldown before being able to join another one.

So for a racing sim once the matchmaking found all the players, lets say that at least 12 have to accept for the race to happen and everyone gets in the server. But if more players press accept (up to 20 or 24) then it starts as well. However players don't join mid game, only those that accepted the race, minimum 12.

I would be devastated if racing games went this way without having the current format. Alongside would be fine but not as a replacement ^ this is my worst nightmare :p

Actually stracker is a great tool for league racing. What AC is mainly missing is endurance features (proper driver switches etc.), but that's not what you guys are talking about here.
