1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Yesterday night has to be if not the best but almost best.

In a public server with Mugello + Cobra , there was a guy @ocin who was a tad faster than me but on some parts of the track and he was a really gentleman. We had a fight cms of one each other for 6 laps and we never touched.
My heart was beating like crazy. Thank you dude. I hope i will see you on track again!!!

  3. It's so nice when you see others being respectful online, instead of simply shunting you out of the way from behind. Sadly, there are far too many of the latter. It's also amazing to me how so many people fail to learn "the art of T1 at race starts". The number of scrapyards that I see at T1 in online races is staggering. Why do so many people try to win races at the first corner?? It's crazy :(

I spent the best part of an afternoon a couple of days ago doing 10 lap races with a 10 car grid consisting of BMW 1Ms. I systematically went through each of the official tracks and did a mini-championship against the AI.

As I am using oculus rift I was unable to actually do it as a proper championship event (no menus etc) but it was a hell of a lot of fun even if I just had to pretend points were on offer. I am really starting to love that car in AC.

I previously generally have done 5 lap races and mixed and matched cars and tracks but it was great to do an extended session like that.

I had AI at 98% and had a few DNFs with my best placing a 2nd and a 3rd (never said I was any good!). :)

Anyway, it was easily most enjoyable afternoon of racing particularly with 10 laps per race and having time to chase down or fend off opponents like that.

Really can't wait for pit stops in single player so I can do even longer racing ... And please, please, please Kunos, give us DK2 users the menus and ability to change setups/do career events properly ... Then an afternoon's racing like that will be perfect!

Even so, Best driving game I've ever played hands down IMO.

    Cheers!
    :)

Ferrari F40 is my favorite car by far, on all tracks :D

It's just a phenomenal car. Like a wild animal you can sometimes control, but never can tame ;) No driving aids obviously. The sound is just brutal, when you accelerate with 1st and 2nd gear. It's like music to my ears. There's easier cars to handle, but F40 is the most satisfying to drive.

I just wish the AI would be more human like, and not glued to the track. Takes away some enjoyment from offline races.

  6. F40 everything. Do like the RUF too however, just not as much as the Fezza.

In AC my best experience so far was a 60 min GT2 race at Vallelunga. Our league does races between 30 min and up to a couple hours and we all know each other on track pretty well. 3 of us fought over 3rd place for most of that 60 mins. We were lined up like a train for the final 15 mins!

AC produces amazing racing sometimes. I think it has to do with the way drafting works. When you have practiced, you know the guys around you and you race fair, there's nothing else like it in gaming.

  9. Up until recently, i've never seen the appeal of the Nordschleife, but in preparation for Kunos' version i loaded up Snoopy's and man, its so cool!

Been watching videos online of Nords crashes, tourist laps, tutorials or pro cars setting records, im addicted! And it didnt take as long as id expect to 'learn' it, i mean yeah im still pretty terrible but not as much as i though id be.

The GT2 cars are awesome, since the downforce makes it a bit easier to learn. For road cars the E92 M3 is just superb, i cant match the real life time but thats my goal.

  10. KTM X-Bow R @ Vallelunga. I have had three or four races of this type on one of the online servers, and these cars are a blast at this track. In fact, I am betting that they are great fun to race at almost any track.

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta, at Spa... stay with me here:

I had just built my new rig capable of cranking all the details up to max, and when I loaded up Steam, AC had just gone 1.0RC .
Decided to quickly look at the new car and the new track, and I was blown away. Ended up solo hotlapping for over an hour. Seeing the pavement at high resolution on that new beautiful track was the closest sim experience I'ld ever gotten to the feeling I had driving a race circuit in real life. My brain just went to another mode, it felt real. If I could love what is arguably the most pedestrian car available(in-game), I knew AC was a winner.

I really dont have a favourite combo just whatever I can have a good battle with people online. Mostly this has been in league stuff but lately there have been quite a few good drivers pop into my servers and Ive had some great battles in various combos. Still get the odd nuisance pop up but there cant be that many left surely. Had some fun in the Ruf vs f40, 458 and mp4. Also some good races in m3 e30 at a couple tracks. Great battles in supercars zonda, laferrari and 599xx.

I was surpised in a league between season fun race last week in the Nissan btcc mod. Its not a car id really enjoy lapping on my own. But in a good field we had some pretty awesome battles with much closer racing then in most regular season races. We also had a season in mixed handicap street cars with lotuses and beamers. That was quite fun trying to win races in the little elise against a few cars that had quite a bit more speed.
