Generic Custom Lobby Features Suggestions

ok you got me, I've never played any sim racers on pc, main reason for this cost of hardware, all the hassle of getting the game to run, I just prefer consoles. ok back on subject teleporting to pits has its advantages and should be used for qualifying due to the set short time limits online 15 mins, but for the race its self, I'm afraid my view is no. To me a sim should be as close to real racing as it should be, teleporting to pits during a race is as far away from real life racing as it could be.

 

Race, Time Attack, and Drift mode.

 

I've just seen those custom championships in the end of year blog thread, those in multiplayer in a private lobby would be absolute quality.

 

The combining of those would be fantastic. That infrastructure is the sort of thing that must be worked towards through 2017. eSports is growing massively and having a structure in place conducive to building a competitive environment is important.

What about loading screens? Or finding your car on the grid at the start of the race, shouldn't we have to drive from the pits? ( which I actually wouldn't mind)

During the race you should be able to teleport to pits but with a forced retirement from the race.

Custom lobbies are gonna be pivotal to this game's success going forward. I hope they knock it out of the park.

Hi guys,does anyone know exactly how kunos is working on private lobbies?!?i mean...if they could just interact a little bit more with us about this topic maybe we can share all the interesting features that you have listed above. Instead if they are working on that and we don't know anything about their projects, at the end maybe we are lucky and we have a final good product or,most probable, we will have a bad pc porting with few options.Kunos please tell us what's in your mind for private lobbies,what features are you going to implement...pleaseeeee

 

They have already spoken many times about private lobbies. They are in QA since a month,

How we could get a bad port from PC when they dont have private lobbies (or the idea of private lobbies console costumers have) either?

They can't do that. If they spoke too much, and talk about features that later they discover they can't implement, complaints number will be huge.

 

Wouldn't suggestions be too late to implement now?

Theres also the matter that Q&A doesn't mean they're ready to go, they could have come across issues. Though it would be nice to know if that were the case. Just hope the next update doesn't leave room for disappointment, and who knows, if they brought leaderboards too that would be awesome.

 

Not necessarily, for all we know Custom Lobbies could be months away, I'm kidding, hopefully they're really close to being released.

But, there could be time for a cool new feature to be added, it certainly doesn't do any harm to get suggestions from people here on the forums. Some of the things people have come up are excellent.

 

agreed. plus, new, interesting ideas for the future cant certainly hurt !
