1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

  1. It's not just the braking tho... And a lot of this is details that might not seem obvious, but completely change how you attack a track and drive overall.

Many of the "Old School" racers had to use throttle to maintain a certain level of boost with turbo-charged engines but, even today, it can be useful in certain situations. Reading about race-craft often reveals that driving 2-footed is still considered a trade secret. Yes, it comes with trade-offs but, when every millisecond counts, it may be justified.

As a teenager that often drove used up and tired carbureted cars and trucks, we had to drive 2-footed just to keep the engine running - especially in lower temps. If it stalled, we risked not getting it started again.:)

  3. We've read different Ross Bentley then. There's some positive things he say about overlap, but the general idea is pretty simple: do not overlap.

This is the most positive thing I can find from Bentley:
Not very close to what we see in rF2 onboard though..

  5. So it's just an issue with sims in general? Or then sim drivers have to teach fastest real drivers how to drive..

So my friend...here is your answer...

    Take a look from 1:10

edit: maybe you are a new driver...this technique can be used in F1 and also kart.

Schumacher surely didn't use it, would have been apparent on the throttle/brake display they show in F1 TV broadcast. And i doubt that it's actually practicable in F1 too, with those amount of downshifts.

Rally is a different thing, you already learn in front wheel drive cars there that you can force oversteer, by using the brake and accelerator simultaneously.

As a sayings...this technique can be used in GT cars, F1, WRC cars until kart...
This is not a new technique !

  11. Oh boy.. Even rally drivers don't use it when conditions are good. I can borrow you my WRC+ account so you cannot make more fool of yourself..

I think people are confused with left foot braking & overlapping the application of both pedals.

Interesting. Frankly, i haven't seen someone apply the throttle while braking in the last 10 years in F1. At least, if the display in the TV overlay is correct. Maybe it was still a thing, back in the days.

Not sure what to believe, in this video Schumacher drops the throttle completely when he starts braking (starting @ 2:38):
