1:58.457 Xbox IMPROVEMENT

Used Havanabob's setup but bumped the final drive to 3.1000 which kept the majority of turbo lag shenanigans under control. It also had the nice side effect of making the car basically a 5 speed, so I had fewer shifts to botch as I tend to try and shift this one too fast. There's more time in it but I'm pretty much out of talent at this point.

Tiny improvement this time around but as u see in the pic I lost it on my second lap at the last Chicane and I was .780 ahead of this lap!!!

By the way, why some of you use a track temp lower than 37º? isn't it supposed to be more slippery hence less grip?

 

Check your ambient temperature!

 

I enjoy changing the weather up. I don't think the asphalt temp makes much of a difference as long as the tires are in the optimal temp and pressure range.

 

Has the bug been fixed on Xbox that messes with the track temperature yet?

When previously discussed ambient temperature had much more impact than track, although it is something I have never actually tested!

 

Yes it has.

In my testing the only way making the track cooler would be a advantage is if the tires are overheating.

Day 2 brings the number of drivers up to 24, the kid still has the lead but not by much....1:51 lap times expected soon I have noticed a lot of people going faster today, more so than usual, I think! Good Stuff!

Just a reminder to check your ambient temperature, so you don't invalidate your lap, it would also be helpful if the pictures are in focus

Had to take part in this one, great combo GT, and Spa, my favourite. More to come in terms of lap
time I think, although I have driven this car at Spa before, I wasn't competing against humans
And thanks to Bob, this was with the help of his setup.

 

2.11.614 improvement xbox one. Times are coming down but that 100% sure is a handful. Really enjoying it though.

Its mad how we can have such a difference in setup and yet achieve a similar laptime.
You,me and eclipsee have completely different approaches,it just go to show how much difference we have with driving style's.
My setup is on a knife edge...so much lift off oversteer its untrue! Im having to apply throttle when i would normally coast into a corner!

 

I'm sorry I messed up with ambient temperature.. no problem I'm going to correct my score as soon as possible

 

Did you try increasing the diff coast?
