1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Had lots and lots and lots of attempts on the ACC Race challenge, nothing doing so far. I have given up for today, as the AI in this game are making me want to throw my entire rig out the window at the moment. I could put the AI on really easy with zero aggression, but that kind of defeats the point of the challenge.

    I will try again tomorrow. :mad:

    I bought myself a VR headset for Xmas and this is my first challenge using it. Unfortunately the screenshot isn't very clear but I hope someone can read the time. I'm amazed how much more noticeable the elevation changes are in VR compared to using a monitor. I'm very impressed with VR but I'm having to be careful not to play for too long as I'm feeling a bit of motion sickness but hopefully it will pass with time.

    Decided the best tactic was to set the AI quicker than I can manage with this car in these conditions, then just concentrate on not spinning for 3 laps. This car is horrible in the wet, that's all I have to say on the matter :p

    AI = 95, aggression = 60

    Just the extra pudding ACC challenge to go then my Christmas promise is fulfilled!

    @HandyAndy1962 which headset did you get and how are you finding VR? I still flit between VR and monitor as the mood takes me, even after 18 months of having my headset. Surprisingly I seem to be pretty equal in terms of lap times with either :)

    try AI at lowest skill, but i never lower the aggression - always against 100% aggression, i know them and if you don't stand in the way they leave you alone.

    I have the Oculus Quest 2. It’s very strange to put the headset on & to be completely blind to everything in the room, and then having to feel where the steering wheel is etc. I don’t have a usb-c port & had to buy a USB adapter. The Oculus app says I’m connected to a usb2 port even though it’s usb3 so I think the adapter is the problem which probably explains why the picture quality isn’t great. I’ve ordered another adapter which should solve the problem.
    I do like how I can look out the side windows without having to press buttons on the wheel & I love how much more real the tracks are. I am getting some motion sickness so I’m trying to keep sessions short & take regular breaks. I watched one vr video inside the space station & had to stop it almost immediately as I felt so sick.
    I’ve bought one game for the headset (Arizona Sunshine) which is very enjoyable to play & I have no problems with motion sickness when I play it.
    I think driving will take a while to get used to but overall it’s an amazing experience.

    I've realised recently that the game allows you drive the circuits in the opposite direction.

    I have enough trouble trying to go through Radillon flat out going uphill, but hey, got to try..



    It has been a back to front, upside down kind of year.
