1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Shoot. Didn't pace myself well enough over the week to respond in timely fashion, let alone have another crack at this challenge. Can't say I'll be hotlapping too often, but at the very least I should be playing AC a bit more frequently now. Hopefully getting the PS5 down the road will allow me to play ACC as well, as the PS4 Pro doesn't seem to have the grunt needed to run the game with my Drivehub + Fanatec setup.

That said, really cool to see the challenges still continuing onward here with both veterans and newer folks all doing their thing. Hope 2021 entails better for everyone!

And I appreciate it @Totall Wrytoff . Better know I still believe in "Porsches all day!"

Wow, I can totally see how having the lights off could be better.
I haven't tried ACC in the dark for ages - must take a peek soon (maybe even this afternoon ;)).
I've hit brightness issues with many other games (of every kind), and if the in-game controls don't fix it (gamma is the obvious choice if it exists) then I just resort to messing about with the controls on the monitor (brightness, contrast, and gamma if it exists).

Hehe, yeah I did notice that the rear end was more lively with TC off (only the exits though, not the entries). However, my limited throttle control skills were totally negated by the turbo lag - it's basically a horrible car to drive on the limit without TC and it's hard to believe that the real car is as bad as that.

For some reason everything seems to work with the older racing games like AC and even Driveclub VR to an extent (my pedals didn't work with that game). But newer games like Dirt Rally 2.0, NFS Heat, and ACC would be unplayable with an immense lag or framerate drop. For NFS, when I plug in the wheel everything slows to a crawl. The game then returns back to normal if I unplug the wheel.

Not much stored on the console and a database rebuild didn't do anything for me. TV can play 4K60 YouTube videos just fine when connected to my computer, so I don't believe the TV or cables have anything to do with it. I was thinking I need to connect the TV directly with the console (and not through the PlayStation VR processor), plug the wheelbase and PS4 into separate protectors/outlets (currently plugged into a single surge protector and outlet along with the TV), and/or open up and dust out the console itself. If you folks have any other ideas lmk!

Don't have the right bits to disassemble and clean the PS4 unfortunately. I did connect the TV directly to the console, separate the plugs for the wheelbase and console, and try ACC again for fun though. Still not really playable, but noticibly better than when I had a go last July. Maybe one of the many updates that came out since then helped? haha

Nevertheless, the speedometer didn't display on my steering wheel and there was no feedback or resistance to be felt while driving in ACC. Disappointing, but as long as regular AC works I can't complain!

Make sure your drivehub has the latest firmware.

Mine didnt when i got my Fanatec base. Im using the T-LCM pedals and it wouldn't even recognize them.

Updated the firmware and no issues since.

I have my tv plugged directly into my ps4 with HDMI. Audio is through my receiver via optical audio.

The drivehub is plugged into the ps4 with the base, pedals, and controller all plugged into the drivehub.

Fanatec base is in computer mode (red light).

Make aure your wheel is in Fanatec mode.

NOT fanalogic mode. When i put it in fanalogic mode i do get the speedometer on the rim but no FFB at all.

In regular Fanatec mode i get great FFB but no rim speedo. Which i dont need cause i never look at the speedo anyway. In Fanatec mode its seen as a G29 I believe.

Appreciate it! Updated the firmware, but it's past 2am here so I'll have to change the base settings and test it out another time.
