New graphics engine

I certainly don't want to see any forced motion blur in game.

 

I set them ON only to prove the effect. Normally I dont use Dof nor the blur.

 

I don't get the hate for motion blur. DoF I can understand, but motion blur makes things way more natural, of course, when it's not overdone.

 

The image your eyes sees is always sharp. I don't get the praise of helmet cams, motion blurs and bumpy cockpit views because it shouldn't be the GPU that makes these things. It should be your eyes, the gear you are wearing and the movement of your real body for making these effects.

With artificial post-processing effects the only thing you get is hollywood-style graphics but its not the point of simulation.

 

Last time I checked, motion blur works inside the car. Just look left/right while driving, the image on the sides will be more blurred with this feature on. Oh, and your fps will be gone too.

 

My last pp set, you can save some fps by lowering all the effetcs quality at standard (video ini value=3) and set filtering to standard in drivers control panel
i use saturation at 100%

Looks very nice andrea. Wanted to confirm something, while driving the light exposure (or brightness, idk photography terms) will change dynamically depending on your position in the track?

if someone want to use no autoexposure i make these pp sets

you can also lower anisotropic filter to 8x to save performance with very very minimal quality

 

gif doesn't work...so weird, save them and load into quicktime

follow images with 8x and 16x anisotropic...i try you to tell me wich have 16x af

 

Thanks, I'll try those 3 according to their hours to see how I like and if it suits my tastes too. Btw, Can I just disable (value 0) the auto exposure in the pp filter file, or I need to alter other parameters for it to work correctly?

i wonder why konus do not set default pp set like the one i made...or maybe Carbon14 settings

 

I not yet see anything that really convinces me. It always looks off/artificial/whatever. Im not sure if its cause HDR. Anyone got tipps for HDR-free settings that look more realistic?

 

Why cannot have this filter/aliasing quality? I set everything to maximum, also in CCC, but i can only see bad aliasing and low res textures compared to this.
After screen looks better, but ingame aliasing is annoying, expecially on the car.
