1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

There are three points in time which changed my perspective on sim racing.

    1. Getting into REVS on my keyboard in 1986
    2. Getting a wheel to dive into Geoff Crammond’s GP3 (non FFB ofc )
    3. VR in Assetto Corsa

I have a very similar feeling with the difference that beside the wheel and VR my third SIM ahah moment was load cell braking

I as fast as could be modded my brake, so far it gives the same performance as a load cell.
Regarding the benefit, it was not that an experience changed as VR was.

  4. Boys I'm 62 and when I was very young there were not even computers.
I have seen so many revolutions in the field of play.... but just a lot, but no one has ever surprised and shocked me like VR and we are only at the beginning.
One who wants to simulate a race in the car can not say that the monitor is better, there is something that does not square in affirming it, :) but in the end each one does what he thinks is best for himself, but I too have the freedom to say "poor he".
    sorry for my english

Is it possible to adjust the angle of the car's side mirrors? I noticed it moves as you move left/right but to see the car at the back (left or right side) from the side mirrors, you have to move left or right too instead of seeing them from the center position.

  7. Tberg

    Tberg Alien

No, it's stored in the car-file kn5 AFAIK.
And, nothing moves in the mirrors when you move your head in VR, so I don't know what you mean that you noticed it moves, other than of cause the mirror object location itself.

Ok. Then it might be caused by a certain mod, as the image in the side mirrors do surely move as I move left/right. May be the shaders with CM. Wasnt sure where to ask this. Ill check with x4fab or the CM thread.

Might be that CM has something going on, I ain't using it atm.

  10. Shader mod just trying to make mirrors look better.

About tyre flex, does still create an issue that in some case you cannot see part of the tyre?

  16. Ace Pumpkin

    Ace Pumpkin Alien

Yeah, sometimes the tire gets sunk into the tarmac. A bug with AC I think, remember blowing up a tire? Sinks into tarmac as well.

    You can disable tyres fx.

Just watched my first replay in VR. Wow! The view from an elevated position like I am in a grandstand or behind the fence is so cool.
When watching a race at Brands Hatch, at Druids Hill bend the view was was almost exactly from where I have stood to watch a real race!
    The excitement continues....
Oh and my times are coming down and I crash less often, win, win

Lenovo VR headset with inside out tracking is currently around $100 on Amazon.com.. god I wish Amazon UK stocked it for that price, I had a rift but sent back as it wasn't worth the money (£400), but £100 VR for simracing definitely is!

I got bored of the room scale stuff quite fast so £100 just for simracing VR would be epic, and no messing around with sensors! hopefully the deal comes here soon.

Bought my rift at initial release, to me it was worth the £700 I paid
