1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

That was somewhere explained in the interview about the crash with one guy from Rimac.
Basicly they had multiple runs and for some reason Hammond was quite a bit faster towards that turn than before.
Can't remember if it was said what the exact fault was, but I think it was on Hammond. The question is if he just didn't pay attention enough anymore, mis-judged the speed or wanted to try at a faster speed.

He continues driving as if he hasn't gone over the finish line and is still doing a timed run, why didn't he brake and stop?

When I first saw the crash on YouTube without knowing the context I assumed Hammond was still racing and had forgotten where he was on the course, and hence took the corner too fast.

Now seeing that he'd clearly finished before he crashed it's even more bizarre, as if he had tunnel vision so severely he didn't see the big signs saying 'FINISH'.

OK, gonna put it in a little spoiler.

Nick Mason (Pink Floyd drummer) is one of the 2 stars in this episode and this episode and they talk about his cars.

    Damn!!!
He owns a 250 GTO he bought 40 years ago and paid ~£35.000, by using an inflation calculator (click if you're curious) this is ~£207.000 equivalent today.
The car is worth £30 millions. Well, good investment. Probably one of the most fun ones too. ;)

I really like it as well.
Some bits and pieces were odd or sometimes a bit (too) stretched, like the Jaguar tour in the desert, but then they pull something genious and/or highly entertaining.
Also I prefer some slow paced segments over (cringy) attempts to overdo it.

The first rounds of Celebrity face off were a bit boring since it was some 'former' celebs or people I otherwise never even heart of. Although the segments weren't bad and recently there were some more known/famous/important people in it.

  9. Still think they should drop the celeb bit altogether tbh, by far the worst part of these episodes. Never even liked the celeb portions of Top Gear either, the only ones I ever enjoyed was when they had some F1 drivers on.

    Schnipp Alien

Yes, for me it is also the first thing that could be dropped.

On TG I only watched the F1 drivers and a few more guys I knew.
Although the competitive setup makes it better than just one person like it was on TG.

So far I watched all of those segments, but usually I skip to that sections first and watch the other parts later.

Celeb thing is hit and miss, last one was prety good though

  12. Even if its celebs I know and like, its just not what I tune into the GT for. Thankfully we can just skip them on the amazon player :) But it does make for a shorter programme.

The celebs on old Top Gear were often only famous in the UK, with the Grand Tour they seem to be including American ones too (most I've never heard of).

The Grand Tour has basically become what Top Gear used to be, studio in one place, celebs on track, the 'News' (sorry, Conversation Street), car reviews and various comedy capers.

I'm not very interested in the celeb interviews either but they are popular with some people so fair enough.

I enjoyed the 037 vs Quattro section last week, but didn't Clarkson say 400 road cars needed to be built for homologation?

    It was actually 200.

Yeah, but he explained the trick Lancia did with the number of cars for the homologation.

Show the 200 cars on a parking lot, send the homologation ppl. to an extended dinner and move the cars to another parking lot because they couldn't fit all cars in one.

Clarkson definitely says Lancia had to build at least 400 road versions of the 037 for homologation purposes.

The rules at the time said 200, and according to this Lancia actually made 220.

    http://gt-cars.co.uk/lancia-037-stradale/

Not sure where the 400 number came from or the story about the car park and long dinner etc.

    Guessing it's a porky pie.

To me, The Grand Tour is just morphing into a program I used to watch on BBC2 on Sunday nights, the name escapes me now ;)

I'd suggest watching something like Harrys Garage on YouTube if you really want to know about the facts and details. GT is just an entertainment show and as such, it works. Just like that other show used to. Oh yeah, that was it, Top Gear :D

  20. Schnipp

    Schnipp Alien

Well, I think everybody knows that neither Top Gear nor Grand Tour is actually about cars and all about the 3 hosts and entertainment around cars.
