1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Good for you. On my side cars just sliding, when I gently break/steer car goes crazy, I could to a single lap due to that I tried the car for the first time or I really suck in this game but I really don't understand the logic ether if the car physicist the game phisics.

    One example:
    Last chicane, first hard breake (trees didn't lock) then hard shifting down, try to hit the first spec, in the middle of the apex I loose the car, even tho I didn't hit the throttle at all almost. Then under breaking car oversteers hard....

    Good driving y'all for me it was to hard. Will try next event :)

    In the last apex under initial braking you load the front of the car up heavily on the front, as you turn in the load shifts to the left front and the rear gets extremely light. Trail braking all the way into the apex will settle the rear down and keep it from spinning at the apex when the car gets light as it becomes unloaded.

    Weight transfer and the loading it causes is the same thing that would be causing it to get nervous under braking. Numerous setup changes can be made to make the car more stable in these situations.

    Hi Bob,

    Thanks for that, I had a read through before but was confused by things like this:

    Differential on acceleration (Diff: Power)
    +/- Decreases understeer, especially out of tight corners
    +/- Increases oversteer
    +/- Decreases spin of the tyre without traction
    +/- Lowers tyre temperatures slightly

    Now if there was just a + or just a - then I would understand, but what does +/- mean?

    As far as I understand the power side settings of the diff.

    Increasing will lead to more traction (power understeer) up to the point where the wheels start to spin and then the car will be more likely oversteer.

    Reducing it frees up the car on corner exit, but the unloaded wheel can spin up, which means the drive out of the corner isn't so good.

    You then have to figure out what the game is actually doing when you make a change.

    Nice video that contains some interesting on how a real world race team uses the diff, all be it for a prototype.



    It would probably be better to make a separate thread, to discuss differential tuning so that the information isn't hidden away in here!
