1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I don't normally bother with set up. That's when you're looking for tenths, not four or five seconds. I could only get it to 2m19, so I thought I'd play with it a bit before walking away.

First lap out I got 16.1. Second lap crashed. Quick restart (I don't normally do that either) and 15.9. That's not worrying the scoreboard but it will do.

It's a great game. It's no simulator like AC though. Once you've got your sportsmanship rating up some of the online races are epic. The replays look great too.

I'm just uploading a hotlap of Circuit Sainte Croix with the Alfa Romeo 4C Gr.3 .
If I would give Assetto Corsa a 10 for physics it would be a 8 for GT Sport .

    Edith : great track

Thrashing away at this one, I think the "drift" nature of the track doesn't flatter the Fezza. Ahem.
Sven, Top Driver, I'm totally amazed by your experience of GTs. I think it's appalling, the most disappointing thing in my 20yrs of Gran Turismo. For me there's very little difference in feel between the cars, the tyres make the handling feel really weird and squidgy, and the way the engine responds to throttle is strange, it surges, which might be right for a turbo, but totally wrong in the Macca F1, for example. For anyone with GTs, try this - drive the Ferrari La F. around Brands Hatch in GTs, then do the same in AC. Would love to hear what you think.

Struggling to be consistent. I am gaining and losing 3 or 4 tenths in each sector, and I strongly suspect an alien would be getting a 9 (but for sure a 10).
    Still enjoying it though! :D

Yes with some cars I had also something like ... hmmmm this car is not much patetos .
On the contrary the ones that I like to drive and have tested to the full are the Volkswagen 1200 66 , Porsche 911 GT3 (996) 2001 , BMW M4
    Alfa GT3 and GT4 , Mini , Aston Martin V8 Vantage S '15 ,Alpine A1 10 from 72 ,Chevrolet Corvette C3 69 , Toyota 86 GT '15 .
These are the cars where I had fun with now about the track Brands Hatch .... well if there is one track I'm very disappointed in GT Sport than it is Brands Hatch comparing this to Assetto Corsa is day and night nevertheless many tracks in GT Sport that I like .
Anyway what counts is to have fun and at this moment with the online racing going on I enjoy it .
I do not have yet the Ferrari La Ferrari but one day when I'm very rich I will buy it I think in the mean time one Ferrari i already have is the ferrari 512 BB '76 but still have to test him .
Here another hotlap with the porsche 911 GT3 996 2001 at Tokyo Expressway

To be honest....I played a lot GTS in the past few months and I dislike it in all kinds of ways. First....Gr. 1, Gr. 3 and Gr. 4 are not real race classes, totally crap of cars mixed together with a Bop which is far away from real live. The Physics are a total joke to be honest, every car is just boring to drive. The graphics and replays, the photo mode and that you are able to make your own liverys are the only good things of this game. Online races are a total crap either, the penalty system is more than broken, I mean you receive penaltys when somebody divebomb you:). I have no problem when people hype this game but for me it dont work. AC and PC2 are the two sim's that make's driving as a simulation fun and enjoyable IMO.

Apologies in advance for discussing GTSport.

I find the worst thing about GTS are the fans of the game who insist that it is "The Real Driving Simulator" and who will not accept any word to the contrary or any word critical of their beloved software.

I treat it purely as a videogame. I often play it in third person and hardly ever get the wheel out to play it, I use the ds4.

It's built from the ground up as an online game; it's to be played against other people. The S rating system gets you matched up against like minded players. I know the penalty system isn't universally liked but it's worked perfectly for me. Those who want to race clean can do so.

All the graphics and stuff are nice but they've put the whole emphasis on getting people to play together. The players then make the game fun for each other, the software is just the vehicle.

As a simulation it's rubbish. (Cue fanboys to sharpen pitchforks now) As a videogame I find it very good escapist fun. It reminds me of how the SBK/motogp community was six or seven years ago.
