1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

IRacing i only play some hour by a friend. I dont like the philosophy to rent a game instead of buying. Its to Expensive for my opinion.
But i like the the handling and the Tracks are very Real, but the best thing is the Damage. One strong hit and your car is scrap metal :)
    I like that.

Yes I think that encourages careful driving.

I'm surprised there's so little love for GPL, although it is quite old now. I liked GTL also.

Options missing Game Stock Car 2013 so didn't vote. And I still prefer it over AC as it's more complete packet.

Dividing my time between AC, Game Stock Car 2013, Formula Truck 2013, Grand Prix Legends (plus 65, 66, 69, Sportscars and Can AM mods) and Richard Burns Rally. Will also check out GTR2 and GTL at some point.

I've done loads of laps on the rFactor 2 demo but I just don't enjoy the driving experience, can't seem to feel the car either. I feel like I'm trying to learn the game's characteristics, not car's characteristics. Shame because the feature list is impressive and the evolving track should be really good.

I did love GPL in the day, haven't played it for years though. Some of the new track mods look good though and somehow GPL just has so much atmosphere.

AC will struggle to top this, OCD modders can put in so much time to tiny details :)

Richard Burns Rally and LFS for me.
RBR was the first game that got me into the world of sim racing and because I'm a rally fan RBR will always be my favorite.
Life for Speed on the other hand taught me a lot about track driving, which was harder than I thought it would be.
I also played NetKarPro for a while, but I bought it at a time where I didn't know much about track driving. Given the nature of the game (no driving school/no tutorial) I found myself lost.

To sum it up, RBR and LFS will always have a place on my HDD and I still play both of them.

Even though its UI and visuals are stuck in the 2000s, I still prefer rF2's driving experience (by quite some margin too). However, Kunos is developing AC at such an impressive rate that my preference will more than likely change later this year.

I spent many hundred hours in Race07, which is missing in the list. So I voted GTR2, because thats what I played before Race07 and is almost as good as Race07.
GPL was great too. But rFactor-Series never satisfied me, especially rF2 is a big letdown for me. Didn´t find any track or car mod so far, that I really loved. I try it every now and then, but I just don´t get any decent fun out of this hyped title. Please don´t hate me for this, better show me good mods, so I may think over it. ;)
LfS was a nice one too, especially the easy carskinning was awesome.

Tricky choice, that. I really can't vote for one.

I went through most of the Papyrus stuff (including the left turn only flavour) and found the lot to be excellent at the time, with GPL being an absolute stand-out. Never really got into rFactor as it was far to mod-dependent for me, and I really don't enjoy the process of digging through the dung-heap to find the diamonds that mod-heavy environments entail. Not to concerned about AC on that score though as the quality of the cars and tracks provided is such that (hopefully!) mediocre mods won't have the same appeal to the community as has previously been the case, and the real stand-out mod gems will pick up the attention they deserve. GT/GT2/GTL were kinda okay. Power and Glory ranks as the best mod in the history of humanity.

I have a love / hate relationship with iRacing. Attempting to provide a structured environment for pickup racing is, IMHO, absolutely the correct thing to do, especially given that the costs of doing so these days are tiny compared to the costs of developing the engine and content. Why Kunos aren't attempting to offer an optional* structured system to support pickup racing is completely and utterly beyond me. However, there are so many niggling flaws in the iRacing system that come down to nothing more than a lack of planning and forethought that I find it impossible to love, and the degree to which the revenue model** impacts on participation is staggering... a pretty bad position to be in when your users are your content.

    * By which I mean Ye Olde "here's the exe, now sod off" model would still be available. It suits some people, and the two can happily co-exist IMHO.

** FWIW, I actually really like subs models. I also like DLC models. Quality specialist gaming is never going to be cheap, and moaning about having to shell out a bit for content is a bit rich considering how much effort it takes to create. What I really, really, really don't like is paying for DLC that, thanks to the boneheaded series design and SR/iR/Licenses system (which only really work if you're amazingly good, or only want to run one series) can end up either being effectively impossible to use, or only ever used once.

As a road car guy, LFS of course
    Also on my hdd

ETS2 - for relaxed driving and graphics / atmosphere is great + tons of mods + with each update it's getting better and better.
RF2 - for Lola t70 and ring + changing track conditions and grip levels, but graphics is shockingly bad.
iR - subscribed again for 12$ , just so I can read iR's AC topic and maybe do some oval racing, iRacing got many things right, but physics is not one of them.
nKP - Just so I can play AC tech demo (no longer do), and support KS

I agree on the atmosphere. However, too bad most GPL player seem stuck with GPL and they still developp tracks for it (even though the 67 Spa looks nice). I'd really wish those modders would finally move on to another sim. I'm sure AC would deliver a nice platform for a complete '67 season. The possibilities would be so much bigger. No matter what you create for GPL, the graphic engine simply has its limitations.

I tried everything except iRacing. For me, Race07 is still the best sim around...for the moment. Head to head with AC wich is beta. With MP AC would be my favorit sim.

At the risk of being castigated into obscurity - I am a hardened Forza Motorsport convert - spent thousands of hours before now on the franchise.

Moved to PC racing due to M$ not letting me using my fanatec gear on an XB1.

Bloody best thing that ever happened - I am completely smitten by AC and will never return to a console that's for sure :oops::rolleyes:
