1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

This ruf is going to be an acquired taste

How do you people drift this with G27? I've got the FFB dialed in so that I even feel engine idle vibrations, but I basically got no slip angle feedback, especially at the critical point when drifting starts. I use CSR Elite pedals, which should help, but usually the back end just slides away (reminds me of iRacing), or I got the pendulum effect after poor reactions. I usually enjoy retro cars, like Shelby Cobra, but this has been horrible for me so far. Should I somehow only use visual and sound cues? (and yes, lowering the boost makes driving easy, but that is not what I'm looking for).

JyriK, use your eyes and learn to interpret simulation FFB.

When the steering goes light as you start to oversteer, that's because you're in a 4 wheel drift, and both sets of tires are sliding equally. Right then you want to countersteer and as you countersteer more, the FFB will help you.

Also, your FFB settings are awful if you can feel anything when idle. Lower your strength and min strength asap. I run 99% in the profiler, 100% strength 0% all other sliders, 12% min strength.
65% strength in setup for cars with powersteering, 75% for manual racks and 80% for cars with very heavy racks.

Also nothing terribly wrong with AC physics. It's just that simulation FFB doesn't do as good a job as real FFB does. AC does a great job though, learn to interpret what vibrations at the limit, under the limit, steering going light or heavier on the limit etc. means. Only AC to now has simulated race cars' racks going light on the limit, and streetcar's racks going heavy.

I suck at drifting and this car is one of the easiest to drift I've tried in AC. The new FFB might help though, I have not tried many cars since 1.0. If you can feel the engine vibrations on idle, then you have your FFB way too high, which means it's probably constantly clipping. You can't drift without a proper FFB setting. Never go over 60-70% gain with the G27.

Thanks gentlemen. I have profile force setting at 87%, car setting at 100%, and min force at 18%. I've used the wheel check app to get the feedback as linear as possible. According to the default pedal app, it is clipping only very rarely, usually not at all....BUT perhaps I should not trust it? I will test with lower forces later.

    Geat car indeed.

Generally i laugh my a** off when i see people post sh*t on other websites about how this car is supposed to be harder and all.

What they dont think about is that AC defaults at 100% grip of the track.
I really think they (KS) should change that, makes people think cars have a lot more grip compared to Rfactor2 that i think starts on a green track.

Also, the video of the dude driving the RUF @ nords should be replicated with a 95-98% track grip and not 100.

Yes. 90s road tyres, track set to green or dusty, track temp set to 20c or probably even lower.

Did more testing. Using Force Feedback Clipping Meter I verified that the problem was not clipping. It turned to be Min Force. While 18% was an "empirical" value for a low force profile setting (87%), it somehow killed smaller forces. I changed the value to 12%, and now I can feel it! Got a big grin after controlling a huge RUF-drift for the very first time (Silverstone National, 1st corner)! Yay!

  16. Are you guys drifting this car with 900° steering angle? Especially for the long drifts I have to virtually throw the wheel around for countersteering, what most of the times doesn't result in some precise maneuvers ;)

if you can drift well and smoothly without the back steping out too quickly that is right.
if you dont, like me then you have to to the swing it around in a hurry :D

On this image is normal 915 gearbox pattern, but on next is gear knob with dog leg pattern (also in use for this gearbox) ...
    http://www.caranddriver.com/photos-...tr-yellowbird-911-turbo-interior-photo-552572

But you were right, Stephan did use gearbox with dog leg (visible after Ex Muhle) ... and I am aware of setup capabilities but I doubt it`s like that because it is on safe side - it would understeer much more.
Having old 911 neutral is only posible with full fuel tank but not for long ...

I am trying to say that, without understeer and lift off oversteer (steering with throttle) the whole point of "driving it properly" like Porsche, doesn`t have sense any more.
