The Challenge.
Car: Lamborghini Gallardo SL
Track: Red Bull Ring GP



Very hard to resist a Lamborghini for this challenge (sucker for an easy title), I tried but failed! The Gallardo SL, lightweight more power and 4wd...We haven't used a 4wd road car yet so something new to understand. It is fast and easy to drive for the most part, it will go sideways, but you need to wave a red rag under its nose to provoke it!

Minimal adjustment this time out, just the very basic stuff, you get a set of semi-slicks to play with, TC is either on or off not that it is really needed....

Apologies for another super car so soon, but it suited the track really nicely, it does feel very different to what has come before.

The Red Bull Ring, I like this place, I like it a lot (spent way too much time here in GT6), well suited to fast road cars, long fast sections split up with tight corners, lots of elevation change and a sweet final sector of medium speed sweepers. Focus on the corners that lead onto the long fast straights, a small mistake can cost a bunch of time...

Please make sure you have the ambient temperature set correctly, I really don't like disallowing times!

How to take part!
To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap choose the Lamborghini Gallardo SL and head to Red Bull Ring GP Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple

To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature.

All Platforms are welcome, please let us know what you are using when submitting a time, please also include the time in the text of your post as sometimes the images are difficult to read.

Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

A leader board will be collated on a daily basis to keep everyone up to date on where they currently stand...Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post will not be updated.

Feel free to use the unofficial leader board but remember you still need to include the session screen in this thread to be included in the results.

First session done, need to work on tuning out the push in the S section.

 

I guess this one needs the car description in the screenshot so people dont use the S3

 

S3? That doesn't exist on console, neither do car descriptions

 

thats fortunate in a way, just get PC guys to screenshot at the pit screen. we have a 1200bhp s3 version

Looking forward on this one. I drove the GT3 car on this track, I've to say that I'm not impressed with the delivered performance, lack of downforce and precise breaking is missing, hope this one will give better feeling and experience!

At mention of GT3, it is probably time to use One again, mid-engine for sure this time, I think I will take the Blancpain Series as inspiration for the track

Talking tracks, I think anything from the first half of "season 1" is fair game again, I have plans for Magione with a car from the Japanese pack, the Escort needs to make an appearance probably in Holland, along with something fast and scary from times gone by (Brands Hatch maybe for group C).

That is about as far ahead as I care to think!

A little time to spare before this afternoons job...

Last two corners could be better, turn 2 is a make or break corner, it can cost a lot of time, when you get it the slightest bit wrong!

 

At least you've spared us the horror of an overpowered rear wheel drive car through that off camber turn 2

1:39.434 Xbox One, enjoying the challenge of finding a bit more time this week.

 

First attempts are rubies, I cursed a lot bcoz the damn transmission is . Every time different rpm range were limiter kicks in, for example 5/4 under 5k it's not allowed but on some areas it wound give me shift down from 2nd to 1st around 3k strange AF....cherry on top-drove whole time on 25 temperature, cursed even more I can't make A damn screenshot with that temperature otherwise I'll hearing again "I wont count your time..." then few messages to others ohhh snap.... but ok drove another session with exactly one lap!

Track is amazing, car is half amazing half crap!!
Amazing part is how brutal accelerate, nice breakes and if you hit nice apex then the acceleration though ohhhhh

understeer understeer and understeer, hard to get the front tires to work + it's an 4wd!

It still manage to drive a solid laps, improvement shall occur in the next days and to all of you back off!!! Drive slowly damn it

Just warming up, presumably track temp makes quite a difference here too. I'm using "clear" for weather and had full tank of fuel. Found the car tough to slow down.
Lovely lap from Graveltrap, a lesson in how to brake!

As a 150k miler GT6 fan and new to AC I'm finding the tuning comparitvely tricky. In settings for camber (PS4) is -3.0 a "higher value" than -2.0 for example?

 

if it is the same as PC you have the boxes that you change and then live values. The live values will tell you what you want to know. FYI the floor can be unlevel in your pitbox which will alter the live values... iirc the 1st pit box at Magione is completely flat (ive never bothered with that though I just click stuff then drive and see how it feels)

This thing doesn't want to turn in, does it? Shaved a second off after I figured out it likes it kind of rough, but that only helps get it out of the corners, not into them.
