1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Such a blast taking a car around this beauty of a circuit regardless of the time it takes...

    It is noooo fun when you improve your lap but you crash after the long straight at the end of the ring:confused: :(
    Grrrrrrr any way tomorrow another day to try .
    When this challenge has Finished on Sunday evening they can put me in a
    detoxification centrum from the Nordschleife .

    Normally I said to myself goooooo to bed but you know the saying ONE MORE TIME :)
    Yes I lost the car while braking took a bit to much risk with those turns :confused:
    Knowing there is still something in it give me a good feeling for tomorrow .

    This car is so frustrating on the edge. I would pick anytime a 458/488 over Porsche, but I improved myelf by a bit but I've still like 1.5sec to find in the last two sectors. I would prefer that his car is more live, more"let me do my way not your way" and this attitude makes (for me) the car really not fun to drive.

    Approach the apex and exit it is amazing, like the 918, pure grip but other than that car is"boring"and not fun to drive.

    Will try again latter!

    I have to admit, these Porsche's are my last favourite handling cars as well.. I find they are not bad braking, and I've got a ton of traction during acceleration.. But on long sweeping turns, the back end gets out,. And it doesn't feel at all like it should be doing that. Such a quirky car.. And not in a good way.

    Yes. Just like in the R34. You simply need to adapt to it and exploit the feature.

    We run this car in AC with absolutely no stability control (well, if it's set to off). IRL there will be some little watchdog left making sure you don't go into a 180 kph drift.
    Even without any helpers it's really easy to anticipate when it's going to happen and also simple to catch. If it was deactivated you'd just end up power-understeering away from the line.

    Anyways, I'm hitting a skill barrier at 7:40 :p But here's my new time:

    I really love this car. I used to think 911s were stupid and had the engine in the wrong place. While the latter might be true I now understand it as some kind of irational preference and that makes it interesting...kind of passionate even: "We build this car with the engine in the back no matter what!" Isn't passion and a tendency towards being irational something journalists miss in Porsche cars?!? Well, I'd say it's right there.
    Plus, the traction advantage is huge. Together with the forgiving setup and the 4ws it's a keeper for me.

    Thanks @Graveltrap for organizing. This challenge made me improve my confidence on the Nordschleife big time. Only the Hatzenbach S section I still find very awkward :p
