Boy this was hard lol. The controller is too sensitive, you need to make tiny adjustments only, not the usual ham fisted way I drive! It's actually okay with it. Miss my wheel, soon to be replaced though as this car is really good. Safe to say I doubt I will improve this time

3 new entries to report since the last leaderboard update, some good improvements along the way, I will highlight Lewis's determination to learn this track in what can be a pretty brutal car, when things go wrong! Great effort matey!

We have two tracks left in this rotation (Mugello and Silverstone '67) which we should get in before the competition arrives! Car suggestions please...

Soft tires, engine limiter disabled, and fuel level at 5 minimum (with consumption off). Nothing too fancy. It's really all about light and timely throttle inputs through the slower turns, which really allow the car to rotate and build up speed for the exit. Still feel like I have a good 2-3 seconds in me if I can be more assertive with my driving. Felt like I was hanging on for dear life in a few of the later sections especially...

 

@Graveltrap : It's been a while we have raced with the Escort (it was at Zandvoort). And after this two-weeks Ferrari 312T beast we can use a slower car
Nice combi with Silverstone '67. Just an idea/suggestion. All others will also do.

At this stage repeating a car isn't something I want to do, we are running out of classic stuff (that isn't a Porsche) at a fair rate of knots though, or it feels that way when I look at the car list!

Monza Junior is also a track option BTW.

 

I scrolled through the car list and noticed the same. A RUF, Abarth, BMW (E92)?

The Porsche 911 carrera RSR 3.0 is a fun car to drive at '67 silverston,but if you dont want to run out of classics,i did some laps with the gallardo sl and its a fun car to drive.
For Mugello,my sugestion is the Ferrari 458 gt2.why?because that combo was literally my first ever driving experience with assetto corsa
How about the tattus?no love for f3 cars?

As for tracks I only ever use the tracks that are in the WHC so pointless me saying one really.

 

Lotus 49 haven't been used yet I think, so would be nice on Silverstone '67.

M3 E92 or F40 (s3?) @ Mugello could be cool too.


Not sure if I'll do any more laps in this one. After Daniel's response I tried again and when I did 6:28.486 and next lap with a bit different setup a 6:28.488 I was like f.. it I quit and haven't tried the combo since then.

 

Always good to see what you guys actually like from a combo, my thoughts on suggestions so far!

RSR is a Porsche and we have used a couple already in this rotation, trust me it is high on my list, the Gallardo has already been used, it was at Red Bull Ring and was one of my favourite WHC events The 458 GT2 is a good thing as well, but we have already done a GTE and a GT3 in this rotation

Tattus, I have actually tested already at Mugello but it is missing some setup options on console (heave) this is the same for the modern Ferrari F1 cars and the LMP1's so they are all on the can't be used list The hybrid super cars are also on the can't use list as console can adjust energy recovery and deployment, the buttons for which then block TCS adjustment I believe on PC they are correct in that only energy deployment is adjustable.

I couldn't face the F40 at Mugello, it is far to close to the special event featuring the S3 version of the car, which I tried to beat for a while before the target time got softened! It does give me an idea though

MP4/12C is a bit of a beast, it feels like it has not grip on console right now Sideways but not in a fun way! Unfortunately the 570s isn't even available yet console users are waiting on the ready to race pack...I like the vibe though! Super cars work at Silverstone '67 as well I think, but again we have just got done with one...

I will test the Mustang at Moza Junior, I think that could be fun

The Lotus makes sense as well, my only concern is that it is a little too soon to use another classic F1 car! Saying that with Other racing games around the corner, the WHC might not see another rotation.

[edit]A couple of extra posts happened whilst my brain was trying to work and make this post, I can't edit and add quotes...

I will try the E92 M3 tonight and maybe the M4 they would fit the bill nicely![/edit]

 

Once maybe 2-3 months ago I made a lobby for Group C at Mugello. I believe it was for 10 laps with factory assists and no SC. No idea why I haven't done that again since! Lap-wise, I got smashed by a few people who joined in, but it was fun getting the 962C around all those sweepers. The 787B and C9 provided similar thrills as well.

Outside of that, other cars that have left a strong impression with me at Mugello include the 599XX Evo, Miata Cup, F40, and that GTE 911 RSR. Now if we're talking Silverstone 67, anything that can get sideways like the 250F works in my book. At a loss of what to suggest there, but I'd be looking for something animated under braking and through the turns. Maybe the Yellowbird?
