1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Normally I don't post my videos here in the forum but this Hotlap-Challenge-Thing deserves an exception. I know I'm not the fastest but the spirit of this challenge, gathering all players together whatever platform they play on, is motivation enough to take part. Also the combo is really nice!

    I love the video above! well done @Dookie. Apart from showing everyone your best lap, you've also shown people what you have to deal with or struggle with! Even tiniest mistake is costing you a good lap! Subscribed (even though I do not understand what you are saying ;) )


    Edit 2: @HavanaB0B have a look at @Dookie vid, compare this to yours and see how less twitchy your car is, see how he struggles most of the corners? That's what I meant in my previous post and I reckon that is the difference between PC and consoles.

    Thanks! To be fair I'm not a clean driver at all, rather an alloverthetrack drifter :D Also track grip was set to "Fast" which should equal 98% grip. Of course there are differences because of the different game versions but I don't think they are that drastic.

    Im a big fan of the ktm xbow and the tatuus (or any open wheeler). You make a good point about running cars without abs though. Would be very interested in the setups you guy come up with for either car.

    We know that there is some differences between console and PC versions, it is what it is and there is much we can really do about it, I am looking forward to the day where we are all aligned for sure, it will makes results day easier ;) :p

    I have to say @Dookie made some pretty epic catches in the posted clip (great video BTW), recovering from angles that would of seen me spinning off completely! I really am rubbish at catching a slide in this game!! Sliding costs time, having to put opposite lock on cost time so its best avoided, which is why the faster drivers always look incredibly smooth, they also don't show you the mistakes or the number of laps required to hit that lap time :eek: trust me this car is a feisty thing on console as well :D

    Oh, we knew that there are differences, we knew that from the very beginning, I think John said that in the very first WHC thread. We were just unable to tell what the differences are. Now I think we are one step closer :) Yes, we are definitely on different tire model (PC currently have v10), but there was always something else :)

    I am not saying that BoB is doing something wrong/dodgy, or that people on PC should get a handicap of some sort, not at all, I was just referring to my post where I said how smooth his driving is comparing to mine ;)

    Keep up the outstanding work, chaps! :)

    PS. Yeah, you are right about that Silverstone, @Graveltrap

    On PC the Huayra is on tire model 10, consoles are on tm 7.
    Tm 10 should be ~2 sec(?) slower.

    Absolutely understand, and hopefully we will be on 1.9 with you guys on the PC soon :)
    Just saying it's not easy on the console either, if I could show my throttle inputs on my HUD I would but I can assure you I'm feathering it pretty much everywhere. If I do not do this trust me it'd look real sketchy, and probably end with me getting acquainted with one of those lovely walls.

    One day I might buy a gaming PC, I am just too lazy to learn how to make software work properly on it ;) It would be interesting to try the two versions back to back, with the same input device for sure.
