1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Seriously if you change your mind its ok,
but your first post sounded way different, than you make it appear....

  2. You are totally confusing me. I can only assume that it was moved because putting it in the same location could link Kunos to the real world graffiti in some way, and thereby get them in trouble? In short, I was "puzzled", not "angry".

The previewshot from the digital version was on the wrong place. They moved it to the real place.

Skybird, i agree but Kunos did comment that one department working on cars doesn't affect the progress of another department working on a better single player AI, career, multiplayer. etc.

PS. I watched a video on the rFactor2 AI and was very impressed with the AI's progress with passing technics and aggressive behaviour without crashing the drivers! I have alot of experience with rFactor 1 in making a great AI so i thought of making the purchase of rF2. I love the fact that you can have the AI in your multiplayer races like in rFactor 1.

Which sim have you been racing other than AC that you mentioned?

To some degree, yes, but I see a chance that they are overdoing it. If the advertising costs as much money as the incomes generate profits, any business will get into troubles sooner or later. And just good will by already established buyers - does not pay bills. Not a single one. By the end of the day it is about money, not good relations and what people think.

Actually, I have more thoughts and reasons about this, but that would become a political debate, and this is not the right place. So the believer in free market and capitalism that I am, leaves it to saying that he absolutely dispises entrepreneurs like the founders of Zalando, as one example. People knowing the economic backgrounds of their debt-building a bit, may understand what I mean. Its about corrupting free market ethics, and corrupting the value of money (if in this FIAT money mandness there is still something left that could be corrupted...)

I possibly tried all major titles since Geoff Crammond'S Grand Prix in 1991. :D Main stays for me were GP3, GP4, GTR2, GPL, Nascar2003. Last tries were Race07 and the Nordschleife pack, and GSCE. iR, RF1 and rF2 I have tested repeatedly either on other people'S systems, or as demos. My last try with a RF2 demo was just weeks ago. I do not know its AI, but I do know that I do not like the way it looks, and more important: the way it feels to drive it. It was my third build of RF2 I tried since they started to release demos - two years ago?

I just got back from R3E, which got a major upgrade again today, 2.3 GB. The AI in it is - wonderful already, so human in that it does most things competently, but not perfectly - it allows room for errors. Missing that braking point and starting to wag the tail, even spinning. Leaning on other cars. Mild contact. Over-optimism in commencing some acceleration or turning manouver. And I just was told by one of the developers in their forum that another AI upgrade is being worked on. Today also came a customizable season mode - pretty much the thing that i suggested ten days ago for replacing this placeholder in AC, special events/"career". And more tuning of their physics. Believe me, guys, R3E is the most underestimated racing sim on the market currently - and now undeservedly so. I rank it right beside AC now, that much it got me convinced in very short time. In physics, AC still has the edge, also in the detail level and photorealistic look of the cars, and laserscanned tracks. But everything else - as a package AC can learn a couple of things from it. And the driving in R3E I find almost as enjoyable and pleasant as in AC - though that depends on the car chosen, some are more difficult than others.

The AI in R3E, the accoustic sound porn, the customizable season, also the auto-director mode in replay that automatically moves to where some action, some accident happens - that are things I want to see in AC, to make the AC package more polished around its edges. The issues I have with AC now, are about AI, and the presentation of the package, not the driving and physics. Right now, AC as a package is, as I put it somewhere, an animated car catalogue. It could and should be a bit more, could be something less sterile.

Free DLC serves in that function. Or do you think they live by sunlight and pure air and are driven by philantropist's philosophy only?

Any business bases on numbers. If the numbers do not match the desires, or numbers are ignored, you better learn to deal with reality while there still may be time - or you need to pay the costs rising from ignoring it too long.

Are not the cost factors with R3E considerably more since you need to purchase cars and tracks which makes it similar to iRacing though i do know iRacing is still a more expensive platform.

It would be even better if we would also get the road going versions Mercedes-AMG GT & GT S:

I now own all their 24 tracks and have gathered a nice cross section through their total car park of 65, and all in all that costed me short of 90 Eros. For AC+DLC I paid 45 Euros per sales, and regular it would cost 60 Euros now. R3E now has much better AI that truly races, customizable season, some sounds equally good, other sounds superior, apparently not as complex but still as enjoyable physics, and the graphics style of the landscape I must admit I now like even better than AC's. The cars in AC look better however, both internally and externally, and the physics are more subtle, complex, and AC's tracks are laserscanned. Both titles offer preset weather/light schemes, and several presettable time of days. No dynamic weather and no night racing and no rain in both.

Very good deal nevertheless. R3E is not too expensive - AC is too cheap! There is no further subscription involved like in iR.

Both titles imo are the two best drivers out there, R3E beats GSC both visually and physics-wise, and RF2 at least visually (I never liked the feeling of driving in rF2, to me it simply feels wrong). I will maintain both AC and R3E parallel from now on. Too bad that R3E had such a bad start in 2012, the state it is in now does not deserve to be linked to that trouble anymore nowadays. If AC will have gone such a long way in 2017 or 2018, it would be a stellar package outside competition then.

I don't agree that the SLS is ugly, I still like the car as much as when I 1st seen it, but I do agree that the AMG GT looks better.
