1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    After being originally cynical, and after the reassurances in this thread I'm certainly interested in this development.

    It will make a nice change to have a game go from pc to console rather than the other way around and having to put up with shoddy ports.

    Maybe we are the future of beta testing?

    they would have lost a bit of trust from many like me due to this announcement, but they will definetely get a lot of new customers from the console crowd. A good trade-off if I was Kunos in my opinion. Hope they do something concrete soon regarding 1.2 rather than just teasing images of new content.

    505 Games is a publisher, not a developer.

    He did not say that. If you were to take anything from his statement, it would be that, as of now, only those who are intimately familiar with the code - i.e., the core team - will most likely be doing most of the work.

    Another developer is not handling the console port.

    All of the necessary work to make the port will be handled by Kunos, not 505 Games. Again, they are a publisher, not a developer.

    Assetto Corsa is quite capable of being run on rather modest rigs, however a 4790K paired with a 980 is certainly not the best example on which to assert that.

    Keep in mind there is room for an exception:
    In the event that there are issues, let's just hope that all available content arrives on PC - one would assume that licensing would be smoother on the open platform.

    So many half empty guys around here.

    I think the main concern is that many pc gamers feel that the evolvement of pc titles has tailed off as a result of software houses focusing their energy on consoles, or producing poor conversions that don't take into account pc hardware capabilities.

    You can however look at it another way. Not that long ago, many analysts were convinced that the pc was a dodo, living on borrowed time, and yet here we are, still going strong with more game titles out now or in development than there ever has been in the history of pc gaming. And quite a number of those developers are willing to invest the time to unlock the potential of the pc. Yes there's some dross, but there are also a number of masterpieces that simply blow console versions away, some of which have ridden on the success of consoles to deliver them - I call that a two way street.

    With a new team working on the console versions and thus some extra code monkeys (no offence Stefano) in the house its not beyond the realms of possibility to imagine there could be some extra sparks of imagination for the pc team to tap into. Not to mention extra revenue for licencing muscle. So come on Marco, pull off the impossible and grab a porka licence with that extra clout!

    AI could be real trouble, current consoles have really bad CPUs. 1.8ghz octocore, and two of them reserved for the OS. Well, at least multicore support shouldn't be too hard with AI.

    I'm probably never going to play the game on console, but I like the idea of bringing Assetto Corsa to a new audience. Would be the first real racing sim on current consoles, wouldn't it?
