That's it for me on the AC challenges this week. I've had enough of pounding around trying to get that one magic lap amongst the mediocre laps I usually manage .

I'm going across to ACC to get that sub 16:40 (hopefully). The sound of that M6 is beckoning me

@Peggy11 and @Rod100 have been going for it! @TinPeach is down to third, Peggy11 consolidates P2 and Rod100 leaps both to take top spot. Meanwhile, in the race car, @HandyAndy1962 takes great chunks of time off and very, very nearly goes into 4th place!

It is as you were in ACC land.

Except, consolers have a new version.
It is an improvement; for me the stuttering has transferred into the occasional "jump" and the car feels better connected to the road. But still very little feeling on and over the limit.
And, after and hour and a half of trying last night, I can't get within 10 secs of the time I set on my first go.....
Sadly, I'm the only consoler to have played ACC this week, so we don't have another to compare.

What a difference between the two cars. I was struggling with getting the understeer under control with the road car. I was able to tame the rear with tc at 2. I would have loved to be able to tone down the amount of abs and set the brake bias backwards a bit - I think that would really help cure the understeer, but its a street car.

In the race car, I had way too much grip. The setup I started with had a lot of aero which I ended up removing. He also had way to much tc, I set it so it would interfere a lot less.

Monza is not one of my favorite tracks, actually I don't like most tracks with tight chicanes, and monza has two of them. If you screw up a bit in t2 then your lap is pretty much ruined. Too much pressure hahaha.


Labbe's tune is for the road car, and Seb's tune is for the race car...

 

I did set a time before the update, but as a first attempt I didn’t submit it thinking I would easily improve. But, like yourself, I can’t get anywhere near it since the update - why didn’t I submit it at the time??.

I’m on X1X and unfortunately I can only do the run with cloudy selected as the weather, if I select clear the whole lap becomes a slide show. Would that still be ok, all other settings are exactly as prescribed?

After a lot of laps in the Ginetta not easy to manage the GT3 power with wheel on wrong side

Doing a lot of online racing and learning so much there is not so much time for WHC atm.

 

Have you tried changing the settings on your TV, if possible?
For example "Game" mode (LG) makes a HUGE difference for me.


I think Cloudy might give you a slight advantage, but by all means have a go, submit and we can review.
Perhaps you could adjust the temp upwards if necessary. It should be 25Deg for air and track.

I'm not entirely sure how I improved on this run as the whole thing felt laborious and scruffy from start to finish, I was planning on using it as a practice run before having another go.

I have made some improvement by making a blind intervention in setup. Changed toe to 1 front / 5 rear (looking for better top speed), and camber to -1.1 front / -2.6 rear. That way I was able to reduce oversteering that was annoying me. Unfortunately, taptalk is not downloading .ini setup files... furthermore, I'm not sure if I can open them in a generic text edition software.

I decided to have another go as I didn't want to attempt another 15 minute Hotstint on ACC tonight.

 

Yeah, I have game mode selected and have tried everything - standing on one leg waving the console above my head - you name it I’ve tried. But unless set to cloudy it’s so so difficult - almost headache inducing. I’ll give it another go though, you never know. But this track is particularly bad compared with the others, and at least I have AC. Are you Xbox or PS?

 

Forgot to add, I’ll do a run and see what the temps say as well.

Tried a number of set-ups, then reverted to my original, which is easily a second faster.
I dropped 4/10ths on this lap, watching in agony as the time bled away from the 2nd Lesmo.

Like this big boy really. While typing this hearing the replay *vroaaaam* - goosebumps again
Dropped some fuel and finished line with ~ 0.7l left - without calculation - that was close
Some mistakes but its getting better.
Thank you @LeiF (?) for this challenge - thougth bout Monza for last week and now we have it. One of the most hated and iconic tracks at the same time.
