1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

What are Kunos next track plans?

I have a working layout of The Glen but that is it thus far. The Bridgehampton update turned into a much larger can of worms than I originally intended (still worth it to me). I am looking to finish that this week and then The Glen will get priority. My goal is to have the glen ready by the end of the year but we will see.

Your BridgeHampton updates are impressive to say the least, level of detail is quite possibly the best I've seen from any track builder thus far.

If you need anyone to test drive your layout let me know. I've driven the long version of the iR Glen quite a bit

Looking forward to seeing that one!! I have all your tracks and they are all great.

I would gladly pay for any non-scanned track... but after the "OMG the world is gonna to end"/Zandvoort case... hardly Kunos will do that again.

Personally, I love the idea of being able to drive on "pieces of tarmac that no longer exist" :)

In the same way I love to music by bands that no longer exist.

Just because they are in the past doesn't mean they stop being amazing circuits, and what better way to drive extremely dangerous, thrilling circuits than in a risk-free virtual environment? :)

I agree with Fat-Alfie, it's great to revive something that no longer exists. The older tracks are often a lot more exciting to drive as well IMO without miles of run off and all of the (necessary) safety features needed IRL in modern times. Historic and modern arent mutually exclusive either, Goodwood is virtually unchanged since the 50's but is still used today. I see it on youtube twice a year and yearn to drive a high quality version with low grip in a GT40 and do my best Kenny Brack impression :p

At least on my Tourist server, the Escort is the most popular car …
The Audi Quttro group B and 911 3.0 RSR are ranked up quite high as well.
The Group C cars (962, 787B) would be as well, would I feature them more often (I don't because it tends to be dangerous for the rest of the drivers).
Oh and almost every time I set up a racing server with older cars (like recently the 250F), it fills up quite nicely.

I'm not too much into historic tracks because I generally don't like the layout style they used 50 years ago (mostly long straights with a few corners in between), but I don't see your statement regarding historic cars being true at all.
Could be that the modern cars are more popular, but it's not like "nobody drives the classics". Not even close.

Ability to mod is what made me buy the game in the first place. There are some truly talented people that have made some wonderful things that otherwise would never have seen the light of day, and we get to drive them in the best simulator on PC (imo of course). Laguna Seca I'm really looking forward to, because of all the motor trend tests, I know what a "fast" time is and what a slow time is.

That's what makes them superior to the new ones, no 20m run off, sometimes not even kerbs, just white line one the edge of the track and gravel/grass. It makes me sick when I see how much you can go out/cut on RBR, and you kinda have to drive that way too to be competitive since everyone is taking advantage of what's not penalized.
Then it just makes sense to have tracks like that, they are much safer. But I don't have to worry about that in a sim, so I don't like them. :p
On the other hand I can't see how Monaco or Baku that are tight street circuits are safer than tracks with gravel instead of paved run off areas. Car hits the armco and stays on track, being at risk of causing another crash or even a pile up vs a car that is stuck outside of the track.

Bring on Laguna Seca with '60s Trans-Am cars already. :D

My perfect track would be the Targa Florio, or some type of road like Mount Akagi or Mount Haruna in game, as an official project, with maybe the surrounding roads modeled as well, so you can kinda have a "mingle" online, park, and just have people all over. That would be wonderful, but I know it won't happen. Laguna Seca, and I'd love that one track, Rouen Essarts or something? I can't remember what its called but it was in shift 2, the version that got changed because it was too fast.

So, is it wishlist time again?
Ok, here is a list of tracks I want to have in the game, in alphabetical order:

And yes, I want to have every variant that is listed. :D

People are so quick to call out wishlisting yet turn a blind eye to the constant derailing of nearly every thread that remains barely on topic, perfect example is the news from the social networks thread, almost any useful information is buried under mountains of garbage unrelated. But oooook, wishlisting it is.

My real suggestion for a track was Roeun Essarts, spelled incorrectly but w/e. My real want would be more tracks based on real roads, rather than actual tracks themselves. We are talking about the future of the game here, some devs are going to read this thread and possibly suggestions could influence where they choose to go next. Their imaginary tracks are some of the best in the game especially highlands, more like that would be very welcome, such as an imaginary mountain road initial D style. Who knows when AC2 will release so, this is still viable. "Wishlisting" is viable too since who knows, after Laguna Seca they might have another track or 3 left in them before they start working full charge on AC2.

4 biggest tracks that I think are missing are:

Sarthe - mod has no more updates and has issues and now there's plenty of cool Le Mans cars of all eras in the game
Suzuka - its just awesome and there is no Japanese tracks in the game
Bathurst - Main Australian track and very unique, also awesome
Laguna Seca - Thankfully coming soon...ish...

The continued re-starts onto the long straight were like oval racing... 3-4 wide over start finish

I hated the event last year, somehow the new cars and hard as flint tyres made it work and then some this time.

This thread is going nowhere and never was going anywhere, so you can't really derail it …
Maybe, but I doubt it. As Marco said, popularity is the main thing when it comes to tracks. He was asked about Portimao and said it would be interesting, but he doubts it, because it's not that well known.
So I'd say you can forget about most tracks as they are not known to a broader range of users.

tbh, I have my doubts that we'll see another track besides Laguna Seca in the lifetime of AC1.
Actually, there is one, the drift playground. ;)
