1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    @Lord Kunos Answering the question from the beginning of the stream: FFB strength definitely needs to be on a keyboard shortcut! Although preferably not "instead" of FOV control :p.

    The big question would be, if the FFB information should be saved per setup, per car, or at all.
    For me, with keyboard shortcuts, it would be ok for it to not be saved at all. And just adding the keyboard shortcut and leaving the setup specific value for people that like to have specific settings every time at hand.

    A per car FFB setting irrelevant of setups that would be saved upon exit could have some issues:
    1) The ffb still would have to be modified on the fly depending on track, weather, and tyre compound used/forced.
    2) When actually using such a feature it would actually undermine the idea of different cars having their own steering characteristics - since the moment one would change the FFB to another level, it would never return by itself to give an actual >baseline< . So every car would start to blend with each other and only reset on new patch days or reinstalls etc would bring the defaults and that would make the player feel confused and disconnected.
    3) It could be detrimental for inexperienced players, that change the FFB setting during some extreme case of weather or a mod track, and then forget to change it back or struggle to find an optimum again due to lack of experience.

    Having baseline 100% loaded up every time we enter the game on default setup >is/would be< tedious, but it is "the thing" that makes us remember the difference between the cars and different track conditions, encourages us to actually tinker/pick a reasonable gain value in launcher and limits/helps with the issues of clueless people.

    - new 'driver standing next to the car with the door open' camera view when you first load into the game, door closes when you push drive
    - release date is approximately fixed (barring major bugs) - features will be dropped if they're not ready by then, which is probably why there's no visible changelog

    I'm guessing you are being sarcastic... cause thats excatly what was to be expected.

    About the FFB +/- : yes please, I deffinetly think this new idea is an improvement, and should replace the FFB slider under setup. Prolly could consider making it an ingame app as well, instead of the keyboard shortcuts.

    Ford GT40: Yay a manual gearbox, historic race car... nothing quite like it.

    Question to @Lord Kunos :
    The AI uses the full width of the track to "stay away" from each other, when there actually in many tracks is enough space to run 3 car wide. Would this be possible to fix by creating an "alternative racing line" middle of the track that could function as a defensive line and also eliminate the "too far apart" issue that is happening especially in the beginning of the race? Obviously it would take some doing to implement it to all the tracks that are wide enough (narrow tracks, they are only capable or running two cars side by side, hence using full width of the track is not an issue), and there would have to be an algorithm about when to use that line and when not.

    ... Only if you happen to load a setup that has FFB adjusted. Only way it's "did it once and that's it" by doing it with the shortcut method. No matter if you load a setup or not, it will be the same car specific FFB gain that you set for that car. End of story.
