Just tried Supra Tuned @full boost,what a beast!Can I save boost on a car?Or I can only tune it in race,thanks.

 

I noticed immediately, because I feel the need to move my shifter to the appropriate side of my wheel depending on what car I'm driving . A slight PITA, but worth it for the immersion value.
Personally I would rather have cars that are LHD since that is what I'm used to, and the RX7 I want to drive in my mind is the bright yellow LHD one I saw on the cover of Car&Driver when I was 16...

But driving RHD is a different experience, one that I'm embracing. Probably good for the brain. I started this when we got the Escort RS. And with that one, throw in a dogleg transmission to deal with as well as shifting with my left hand... really gives my noggin a workout.

Anyway, if you're a doubter, give it a try. Sort of like learning a second language. Awkward at first, but you'll be fluent in no time.

 

I drive from hood or bumper Cam, but when I drive from cockpit I still don't feel like I've to move shifter's location :d

 

Drift Supra is so good now, love that car, its so ****in fun now!! Drift Supra+Barcelona Moto, absolutely fantastic drift around that track whit Supra!

 

Drift supra is now also very funny track car on semis, even default setup.

 

Have to say that the Nissan Skyline is my favourite partly because it sounds amazing!

Great job with the audio on this one including the turbo spool and BOV/Wastegate..

 

In 1993 I was a broke, 20 year old pizza cook with a 1982 Mazda Rx-7 that I had borrowed money from my GF to buy. I was RX-7 and rotary obsessed. I had all the books on how to modify them and followed the exploits of Racing Beat and every other rotary racing team I could find. When the FD RX-7 came out I was struck dumb with car lust and went to the dealership just to look at one, knowing full well I couldn't buy one. The salesman wanted to sell it to me anyway, as I stood there in my garlic and flour caked cook outfit and told him I had no cash! Somehow I got out of there without buying what I dearly wanted but I could not afford.

In the 23 years since then I have had the opportunity to drive several FD RX-7s including stock ones, giant single turbo modded ones, and even autocrossed one with an LSx V8 conversion. Despite later having the means to do so I've never owned one. When the Japanese Pack was announced for AC I knew which car I would drive first. It was love at first drive. I drove all the others of course, but keep coming back to the FD RX-7. This model that Kunos have created is just beautiful and reminds me in every way of this machine I have had a thing for for more than two decades. I think it is not just my favorite car in the Japanese pack, but my favorite car in all of AC right now.

AE86 std

 

The tuned AE86 is my favourite of this Jap car pack.
The MX5 Cup is not so interesting to drive but it's fantastic for massive and close door-to-door MP racing.

 

LHD MX 5, Both flavours at Nords. I want to like the RHD offerings and have tried a bit, but find that driving one is very, very uncomfortable from the standpoint of proprioception. The swapped passenger seating area, and layout of the vehicle feels wrong. It leads to driving the wrong side of the car into the grass, into obstacles like walls and barriers or other vehicles. I genuinely dread ever having a need to drive something like that IRL.

 

How much time did you spend with the RHD? It can take quite a bit of time to adjust to simply driving a RHD car on the street. So even more so on track.

I don't know if this question was asked, but the AE86 tuned version is supposed to represent early stages of initial D AE86 ?

 

I figured the sounds were slightly enhanced; and I don't mind since those cars are a bit too quit when completely stock. I still would have liked a BOV, as I think that can sound just as good. However, the turbo flutter on the time attack Supra is just crazy I was at the Gatebil festival this weekend (search on Youtube if you haven't heard of it), and it reminds me of those mental track cars that I saw there. It's just a shame you have to turn the boost up to 100% (and thus damaging the engine) to really enjoy the turbo sounds.

 

Cool story, how does it compare to your RL experiences?

 

Somewhere between 2 and 3 hours i'd suspect. While taking rests between sessions and trying it on different days.

 

Take a week or two break from RHD then revisit. Breaks like that can do wonders for learning something new.
