1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

so after spending bit more time with DP3, I find it really quite interesting that it meet exactly my expectations

really like Brands Hatch and also the McLaren
the Merc GT is ok but don't like it as much as the McLaren,
Hurracan SF is quite good, but not that different from the GT3 making it not necessary
Gallardo is ok but not necessary something I couldn't live without
the historic Lotuses I didn't really touched, becasue I don't like these kind of cars
Escort does have some good things about it, but to my expectations it feels more heavy that it should ( based on expectations, not saying that I'm right and no, I don't want to open up the argument )
perhaps maybe just the Abarth is bit worse then I was hoping for it to be. I was expecting something more like a low HP kit car, but it feels more like roadcar on slicks, was hoping it would be more nimble

so I guess what I'm tryign to say is that the DP meet pretty much my expectations, and that's good becasue it means that I have no reason to regret the money I put into it

McLaren 650 GT3. Beautiful car, and you feel the engine has been strangled to GT rules..

Is it just me or is it when I'm changing down gears 5/4/3/2 the last paddleshifts (G25) seem to go uneasily and 'slowly', sometimes I have to paddle more to get it into second(???) like there is some delay?

Other cars wether it be Escort Mk1 to 458 don't have that hesitation when shifting down.
And no I'm not overrevving, or something like that...

    Anybody?

    Cheers
    Robin

In all honesty, had you ever had a reason to? Just curious, because it sounded a bit like that.
And the 500ac is a very nimble car, if you come to terms with it and it doesn't rip your head off. I like that lift off oversteer. Is a fwd race car supposed to act differently? Never driven one, so I just don't know. Just curious again
    :)

  4. Gear shift protection? Don't all of the GT3 cars have that?

not with AC - mostly because the content is well priced - but in general with other purchases of course I did :)

as for the 500ac, I was hoping it would feel more like Minicopper for example
I never driven one so of course it's possible that it's much more heavy then it looks like (actually it does look like it's heavy)

but even the Escort felt bit heavy and that car should be very light imo
driving-wise it reminded me 300 SEL AMG in pCARS - but that car is heavy high power machine ( which I love btw) and It surprised me that Escort reminded me of it so much

Now you made me curious for pCars, which is the first time ever, by saying my beloved Escort reminds you of the red pig. Sadly I know no one who owns it so I will never know...

Edit: But hey, there is always a sale on steam, so who knows:)

Wondering if I have a performance issue that's feeding through to the AI and it's performance.

Might be an issue here, just saw a vid of a German youtuber reporting the exact same issue. He recorded a race with ai that was horrendous. He later said it was an issue with his cpu. After a reboot all worked fine again. This was twice I heard of it, but can't recall the second source. So maybe an inconsistency issue here due to hardware.

Ps: too much repeating of the word issue here, sorry for my English ;):D

Interesting, so you say it's implemented that way in AC GT3 cars? I'm not into AC GT3 cars I must say, do I occasionally drive one, but noticed it in the 650 GT3...

    And you're experiencing the same?

    Cheers

Down shift protection is implemented in all paddle shift cars now. Maybe they have to tweak it. But we have to know at what revs you tried to change to a lower gear.

I have driven the 300SEL AMG 6.9 or whatever it's called a lot in pCars because it's one of the best/nicest handling cars in pCars imho -it has a nice oversteery balanced FR layout- but that's imho the only similarity with our AC Escort MK1, the latter being much more refined(you can place the Escort inch by inch on the track with your throttle if you want to) , feeling not heavy, less torquey(off course) and way more agile. Imo....

Not saying the pCars 300SEL is a pig, well it is but it's a good flying pig. A powerful oversteery pig:)

    Cheers

    I wasn't overrevving...
It just feels the downshiftpaddle is broken suddenly. But in other cars (L49, EScort, E30 DTM, 458 to name a few) it shifts down fine...

I don't know if you know, but it's nickname in Germany was "die rote Sau", and it's not meant in a pejorative way.:)

The three first cars you mentioned are analog, manual shifted cars, so no downshift protection there;)
The 458 on the other hand.... Need to try for myself, to comment on. But not tonight, The wine bottle stands between my friends and AC :D

Yeah the downshift protection is there for all paddle shift cars I've tried. Found it pretty frustrating on one turn in particular at brands hatch the right didn't hand link before the uphill. Seems to only engage when it wants. No matter what the revs on the r8 lms ultra.

  20. Curious why a RHD UK Escort has a speedo reading kph...

Haven't spent much time with the cars because I've been ill, but the 650s is a pleasant beast ( much more pleasant than the older GT3 ), the Escort is a riot, the '72 is fun but the engine sounds are rather weak and Brands is a pretty nice redition of the place. Needs some minor texture tweaks perhaps but all in all a thumbs up.

Would have been great if the GTA had been updated to an early '70s model to go with the Escort!
