Forza might be coming to PC

"According to Chinese website WPDang, Forza Motorsport 6, the Xbox One exclusive racing game released last year in all regions, and the yet to be officially unveiled Forza Horizon 3 will be released on the Windows Store in the future. The release of these games on the Windows Store is, according to an anonymous source, one of the steps Microsoft will take to make the Windows Store the main distribution channel for PC games. Since all of this has yet to be confirmed officially, we must take it with a grain of salt until an official announcement comes. At the same time, WPDang has proven to be quite reliable with Microsoft and Windows rumor, so there’s a decent chance that these games will indeed be coming to PC in the future."

Cool, but I won't switch to Windows Spy just to play Forza.

 

Due to the recent interest that Microsoft has shown towards trying to connect the PC-Xbox gaming experience, this might actually be true now, would surely love to have Horizon 3 on PC, it has kind of been the forbidden apple for lots of car enthusiasts that only own a PC (I won't get a console, PC master...not really, I'm just poor) .

 

So we give them the glorious, benevolent and humble assetto corsa and we only get forza in return. fair enough. I'm sure all the russian guys that rip the cars out are really happy.

 

Very fun game, but the physics on that game aren't very good. I spent about a week playing it on my rig and had a blast until I realized it was causing me to learn very bad driving habits. Had to stop playing so I don't accidentally do something stupid at the real track because I had bad muscle memory habits from Forza.

 

I'm out of loop, what has ms done? The impression I've been getting is that ms has been more hardcore than ever trying to get exclusives away from pc and ps4 and on to their xbone.

 

Quantum Break was supposed to XONE exclussive, but they changed their mind, it will be released on the PC, and they have repeatedly said that they want to unify the Microsoft gaming experience.This will lead to marketing bullsh... but as long as it's playable, I honestly don't care.I'd love to play Forza Horizon 3, then I'd be able to play online with my non-simloving car friends .

 

If you buy Quantum Break to console you also get it for PC and its not console exclusive anymore.
It will only support DX12 though so if you want to play it you must upgrade to win 10, so i guess they dont do it just because being the good guys.

 

To me that sounds all about trying to get people to buy/get win10 and use their windows store. Not about actually releasing anything console stuff for windows in the long run.

 

It's the same thing. A means to an end. Do you really need some warm and fuzzy personalized assurance? If they offer a product you want, buy it. If they dont, then dont. It's not complicated.

People should really stop treating companies, especially big companies, like people or friends. They are product/service providers and nothing more. I dont care what their reasoning is for releasing Forza 6 on PC. All I know is that it's a product I want very much and will thus buy it.

 

You better not use anything that is affiliated with google neither if you call Microsoft a spy

 

Or just the internet in general.

 

And definitely don't talk to other people, either. Can't ever be too safe. You wouldn't want it out there that you race pretend cars on your computer. (I'm cool though. I won't go blabbing about it to Microsoft.)

Anyway, who needs Forza? Thanks to the Russian modders we already have all the cars in AC.

 

The night lighting effects are cool as hell. And they did pretty good with rain as well.

 

Horizon would interest me, but assetto corsa is so far superior in terms of physics that Forza 6 doesn't interest me in the slightest.

 

why not, there's certainly market for game like forza on PC

 

I'm all for Horizon to make it to PC! I cannot justify buying and xbox and a specific wheel just for it, so....
Motorsport....there's already AC, so no need for me personally.
For now TDU1 has made it's way back to online capability from the community modders! It's true. Project Paradise.

 

For modding cars and stuff (track day bro). Without actually having to be a modder.

 

I love the looks of it, for sure and wouldn't mind having it on my PC. But I know after a short time I'll be like: "Ok now I've got this. What am I supposed to do with it?" I'm not keen on cruising around the scenery if the physics and the FFB is poor...when you smash your Porsche Cayman through a forest at high speed without even having to sacrifice much grip and come back to the road like nothing has happened the immersion is gone for me.
That being said: I never tried it with a wheel. Friend of mine has PS4 and is currently waiting for AC. He'll get a T300 so I'll be able to try Forza Horizon then.

 

technically it'll be very interesting to see how they will handle FF on the PC. DirectInput is deprecated and it doesn't work on Windows Store Apps, so they'll have to port the XB1 FF API or come up with something new... exciting stuff.
